stow Robotics and Phononic collaborate to design cold chain fulfillment solutions

stow Robotics, the warehouse automation business unit within stow Group, and Phononic, a provider of solid state cooling technology, have formed a strategic alliance to provide cold chain fulfillment solutions that serve the retail grocery industry across North America and Europe.

Combining stow Robotics’ automation expertise with Phononic’s sustainable active cooling technology, the two companies are collaborating to design, develop and scale solutions for cold chain fulfillment, particularly for grocery automated fulfillment centers.

LG robots deliver Korean food from Atlanta restaurant

At Arirang K, a beloved Korean barbeque hotspot in Johns Creek, Georgia, robots offer diners a uniquely futuristic experience and lighten the load on servers during peak business hours.

Since June 2022, four “LG CLOi ServeBot” robotic assistants from LG Business Solutions USA have been assisting wait staff by accompanying them to guests’ tables while carrying multiple dishes at once.

Starship expands robotic delivery to more college campuses with Grubhub

Starship Technologies, a provider of delivery robots, and Grubhub, a food ordering and delivery marketplace, are expanding delivery service to Baylor University and East Carolina University (ECU).

As of yesterday, students, faculty and staff can get autonomous, on-demand deliveries through the Grubhub app (iOS and Android).

Baylor’s 20,000 students can order from more than seven eateries on campus. Kivnon to introduce its new forklift pallet stacker at ProMAT

Kivnon will showcase the latest addition to its AGV portfolio, its Forklift Pallet Stacker, at this year’s ProMAT, running March 20-23 in Chicago.

Kivnon says its AGVs/AMRs are “heavy-duty vehicles that improve safety and process efficiency”.

Dutch shoe retailer Schuurman Schoenen implements Magazino robots

The robotics company Magazino has won Schuurman Schoenen as a new customer for the mobile picking robot TORU.

The Dutch company, known for offering a wide range of shoes, will use the robots in its warehouse in Neede, Netherlands.

ASI and SICK optimize and automate logistics truck yard operations

ASI Logistics and SICK Sensor Intelligence say they have achieved another milestone in the development of autonomous yard truck operations.

Together, the two companies have “solved the issue of reversing into trailers autonomously”. This is one of the final steps in completing fully autonomous yard operations.

Radial selects Covariant to automate e-commerce fulfillment with AI-powered robotics

E-commerce company Radial, a Belgian Post group company, the leader in e-commerce solutions, has agreed a new partnership with Covariant, an artificial intelligence robotics company, to automate sortation in their batch-picking operations through the installation of 12 Covariant Robotic Putwalls.

2023 Predictions & Forecasts: Five challenges for warehouse management, according to AutoStore

AutoStore has launched a new benchmark report with insights from more than 300 C-level business leaders in warehouse management and fulfillment.

Survey participants identified the top three current challenges facing organizations as: rising energy costs (32 percent), increasing labor costs (27 percent), and supply chain and shipping constraints (26 percent).

Berkshire Grey and Locus Robotics combine to offer ‘industry-first’ cross-platform robotic automation
