Renatus Robotics launches automated robot warehouse system with ‘one-stop pick and pack’ technology

Renatus Robotics has launched what it claims is “the world’s first automated robot warehouse system with ‘One-Stop Pick & Pack’ technology”. 

Renatus enables a single worker to perform picking, consolidating, and packing operations all in one stop, operations that have traditionally required workers and dedicated material handling equipment at each step.

Denso increases efficiencies with fleet of MiR250 autonomous mobile robots

Denso, one of the world’s largest automotive technology suppliers, says it has “increased efficiencies, improved employee morale and ergonomics, and managed a tight labor market” by deploying six MiR250 autonomous mobile robots to transport materials in its 800,000 square foot powertrain component production facility in Athens, Tennessee.

According to a new case study from Mobile Industrial Robots (MiR), Denso has successfully executed more than 500,000 missions since deploying its first MiR robot in 2020, recognizing a return on investment (ROI) in less than a year along with an ongoing need for more AMRs for additional logistics applications.

Tulsa university now offers robot delivery service from Starship Technologies

The University of Tulsa has introduced Starship Technologies’ robot food delivery service.

From breakfast bagels and lattes to Mr Beast burgers and hot wings, TU students and employees can have meals roll right up to their door anywhere on campus between 7.30 am and 11 pm.

Starship’s fleet of 15 autonomous, on-demand robots will deliver from seven campus eateries: Einstein Bros Bagels; Tulsa Burgers & Wings; SOL Tex Mex; Subway; Benvenuto; Virtual Dining Concepts, which includes Mr Beast Burgers, Tossed Salads, Mariah’s Cookie Boxes, Pardon My Cheese Steak and Buddy V’s Cake Slices; and Dietler Café in McFarlin Library.

The school’s nearly 4,000 students and 1,000 faculty and staff can now use the Starship app (iOS and Android) to order food and drinks from local retailers to be delivered anywhere on campus within minutes. Autonomous trucking company Einride launches in Benelux with brewing giant AB InBev

Einride, the freight mobility technology company that provides digital, electric, and autonomous shipping, has launched in Benelux in partnership with one of the world’s leading brewers, AB InBev.

With Einride’s fully electric fleet of connected, heavy duty trucks the partnership is expected to reduce CO2 emissions by 500 tonnes annually.

Locus Robotics raises $117 million in new funding, valuing startup at $2 billion

Locus Robotics, a maker of autonomous mobile robots for fulfillment and distribution warehouses, has raised $117 million in Series F funding, led by Goldman Sachs Asset Management and G2 Venture Partners.

As part of the financing, Mark Midle, managing director, Goldman Sachs, and Zach Barasz, partner, G2 Venture Partners, will join the Locus’ board of directors, bringing their unique industry perspectives and insights to further guide Locus’s next stage of growth and global expansion.

SEKO Logistics partners with GreyOrange to scale up warehouse operations

SEKO Logistics, a global logistics provider, is today announcing a strategic partnership with GreyOrange, a global leader in automated robotic fulfilment and inventory optimization software, to help scale-up its warehouse operations.

The partnership, which will involve SEKO using a fleet of GreyOrange’s Ranger Assist Bots and GreyMatter fulfilment orchestration platform, will enable the company to both increase available capacity and throughput across its warehouse while also reducing operating costs.

Fabric and Reply partner to expand robotic capabilities for warehouses

Fabric, a retail fulfillment automation company, and Reply, which specializes in new communications channels and digital media, have entered into a strategic partnership to offer brands and retailers “seamless integration” to a single point solution for a warehouse management system and automated robotic fulfillment.

Fabric will use the LEA Reply supply-chain execution platform – developed by Logistics Reply – to integrate with its automation solution and provide a ready-to-use connector to Reply’s leading WMS in the market.

This will also allow both Fabric and Reply to quickly develop new features for their customers to improve the performance of the robotics, WES, and WMS with minimal additional integration efforts and no disruption to the customers’ operations. Norwegian postal service to deliver mail using robots

One of Europe’s largest postal services, Posten Norge, is testing the future of the logistics delivery in Oslo with Ottobots, produced by a company called Ottonomy.

Continuing to pave the way for autonomous delivery, Ottonomy announced its collaboration with Posten Norge and Holo for trials for automating first-mile delivery.

Attabotics secures $72 million to automate legacy fulfillment centers

Attabotics, a robotics-led supply chain company, has raised $71.7 million in Series C-1 funding led by Export Development Canada (EDC) with participation from Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan Board (Ontario Teachers’) through Teachers’ Venture Growth (TVG).

The round brings Attabotics’ total funding to $165.1 million to date and will be used to further accelerate the commercialization of its 3D robotics warehousing solution in the wake of growing post-Covid-19 demand.
