SW to showcase new modular, scalable robot cell at automatica

Schwäbische Werkzeugmaschinen (SW) is presenting a new solution for modular automation at automatica 2025 in Hall A5, Stand 321: the Mobile i-Cell robot cell, which is a scalable unit that flexibly connects assembly, logistics, and machining stations.

It supports manufacturing companies in the automated and efficient machining of a wide variety of components and order volumes – without rigid interlinking or complex integration.

Inbolt and Fanuc launch ‘breakthrough robots that can think and act on the fly at moving assembly line speeds’

French startup Inbolt and the world’s largest industrial robotics company Fanuc are launching what they describe as a “manufacturing breakthrough” enabling Fanuc robots to tackle one of the most complex automation challenges.

The companies claim that the robots can “perform production tasks on continuously moving parts at assembly line speeds”.

With Inbolt’s AI-powered 3D vision, manufacturers can now automate screw insertion, bolt rundown, glue application and other high-precision tasks on parts moving down the line without costly infrastructure investments or cycle time compromises. Kuka replaces its CEO as it reflects on ‘challenging financial year’

Industrial automation specialist Kuka has replaced its CEO, Peter Mohnen, with a new one, Christoph Schell, as it reflects on what it has described as a “challenging financial year”.

Despite the difficult global economic situation, robotics and automation are important growth markets. Kuka has asserted itself well in this highly com-petitive market, has proven to be robust – also in comparison to the mechanical engineering and automotive industries – and increased its order intake by 1.3 percent to around €4.1 billion in the past financial year (2023: €4.0 billion). Fanuc unveils first ever explosion-proof collaborative paint robot

Fanuc has launched “the world’s first ever” explosion-proof, ATEX-rated collaborative robot for industrial painting applications.

Ideal for wet spraying, dry powder coating and multiple other processes that include adhesive dispensing, the CRX-10iA/L Paint will improve the precision of paint jobs, reduce waste, increase productivity and boost safety by protecting workers from paint fumes.

Fanuc says it is unable to provide financial forecasts due to tariffs situation

Doosan Robotics to supply 300 collaborative robots across Southeast Asia

Doosan Robotics has signed an agreement with VRNJ, a robotic system integrator in Thailand, for the supply of 300 collaborative robots.

Under the agreement, Doosan Robotics will deliver 300 units from its four collaborative robot series – A, H, M, and P – over the next two years, with an initial order of 60 units already confirmed.
