Fusion Capital Partners acquires Tavoron

Fusion Capital Partners, a lower middle-market private equity firm focused on engineered products and essential services businesses for industrial and commercial markets, has acquired Tavoron, a producer and supplier of industrial automation components, systems and services. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Tavoron, comprised of multiple operating companies across the US and Canada, specializes in innovative electrical and air automation components, robotic systems and compressed air technologies.

LG acquires majority stake in Bear Robotics

LG Electronics has taken a significant step in advancing its robotics capabilities by securing a majority stake in Bear Robotics, a prominent Silicon Valley-based startup specializing in AI-driven autonomous service robots.

This acquisition aligns with LG’s strategy to strengthen its presence in the robotics sector, a key growth area for the company.

LG’s board of directors exercised a call option in January to acquire an additional 30 percent stake in Bear Robotics.

Zapi Group acquires Ubiquicom

Zapi Group, a provider of electrification, has acquired Ubiquicom, a specialist in real-time locating systems (RTLS) for manufacturing, transportation and logistics processes.

The acquisition bolsters Zapi Group’s standing as a “comprehensive systems integrator for electrification and warehouse automation”, according to the company.

Siemens acquires Altair Engineering for $10 billion

Siemens has signed an agreement to acquire Altair Engineering, a provider of software in the industrial simulation and analysis market.

Altair shareholders will receive $113 per share, representing an enterprise value of approximately $10 billion.

Oman’s Asyad acquires Skybridge to strengthen logistics presence

Asyad Group, Oman’s end-to-end global logistics provider, has acquired Skybridge Freight Solutions (SFS), a global freight forwarding company.

The landmark acquisition is the group’s first international acquisition in core logistics activities and marks a strategic move to significantly expand Asyad’s footprint through active operations in key trade hubs and the major economies of China, India, the USA and the GCC, supported by unhindered access to SFS’ well-established, dynamic network that covers over 90 geographies across six continents.

Now acquired by Asyad Group, SFS is a premier freight solutions provider offering freight forwarding services across air, sea and land in addition to warehousing and distribution.

Siemens to acquire industrial drive technology business of ebm-papst

German engineering Siemens has signed an agreement to acquire the industrial drive technology (IDT) business of ebm-papst.

The business, which employs around 650 people, includes intelligent, integrated mechatronic systems in the protective extra-low voltage range and innovative motion control systems. These systems are used in free-range driverless transport systems.

ABB finalizes acquisition of Sevensense

ABB has acquired Swiss start-up Sevensense, a provider of AI-enabled 3D vision navigation technology for autonomous mobile robots (AMRs). Sevensense was founded in 2018 as a spin-off from Swiss technical University, ETH Zurich.

Sami Atiya, president of ABB Robotics and Discrete Automation, says: “This marks a significant step towards our vision of a workplace where AI-enabled robots assist people, addressing our customers’ needs for greater flexibility and intelligence amidst critical skilled labor shortages.

Electric Sheep acquires two more landscaping businesses

Electric Sheep, which says it is creating “the first large-scale outdoor maintenance company powered by artificial intelligence and robotics”, has made two new acquisitions of landscaping businesses – Westar Landscaping and Caliscapes.

This makes four landscaping businesses that Electric Sheep has acquired in recent months.

Emerson completes $8.2 billion acquisition of National Instruments

Emerson has closed its acquisition of NI, formerly known as National Instruments, a provider of software-connected automated test and measurement systems, at an equity value of $8.2 billion.

The acquisition of NI advances Emerson’s position as a global automation leader and expands its opportunity to capitalise on key secular trends like nearshoring, digital transformation, and sustainability and decarbonisation.
