The Shadow Robot Company, the UK’s pioneering robotics company best-known for its Dextrous Hand series, has announced the launch of its Robotics Consultancy Service.

The Shadow Robot Company, a London-based robotics company that designs and manufactures state-of-the-art anthropomorphic robot hands and systems, is launching its robotics consultancy service to help companies innovate by integrating robotic hand technology into their products and processes.

African-engineered food delivery robots debut at Brigham university

A unique food delivery robot is on campus at Brigham Young University (BYU). The robot is a collaboration between Professor Benjamin Terry of BYU and a robotics startup called CAYTU Robotics. 

The unique twist to these robots is that they will be controlled by operators sitting in a country far away on the continent of Africa.

CamSoda to launch autonomous vehicle in several US cities

CamSoda, an adult entertainment webcam company, says it is planning to launch driverless shuttles in several American cities.

The company unveiled the rendering for an eco-friendly, autonomous vehicle, aptly named the “SeXla”.

Kivnon to launch new version of its forklift AGV at Advanced Factories Expo

Kivnon will launch one of the latest additions to its AGV portfolio, the K55 Pallet Stacker, at this year’s Advanced Factories Expo, which runs from 18-20th April in Barcelona. 

Kivon’s range of AGVs is renowned for robustness, safety, and accuracy, and this new addition to the portfolio provides customers with a vehicle that can automatically transport stack pallets.

Bear Robotics, a Silicon Valley-based innovator of hospitality robots, announces the launch of its new robot, Servi Plus, a service industry game-changer featuring increased capacity, enhanced user experience features, and the smoothest suspension engineering in the industry for transporting liquids and traversing ramps. 

With an expanded 88 lb (40 kg) payload and a 16+ dish capacity, Servi Plus is the heavy-duty answer to hospitality workflow automation.

Lyft and Motional unveil driverless robotaxi in Vegas

Lyft and Motional have partnered to launch Motional’s new all-electric IONIQ 5-based robotaxi, an autonomous vehicle designed for fully driverless ride-hail operation, on the Lyft network in Las Vegas.

The launch is the next milestone in the lead-up to Motional and Lyft’s fully driverless service, planning to begin in 2023 and scaling to multiple US cities.

ROBOJuice promises robot-made smoothies in 60 seconds

A startup company called ROBOJuice is promising “first-ever artificial intelligence and robotics-powered kiosk that can prepare and serve smoothies and acai bowls in under 60 seconds”.

Nik Sakhno, the founder of ROBOJuice, says the company has launched because the hospitality industry continues to embrace automation and it was good time to bring the machine to market.

With more than 10 years’ experience in the food automation industry, Sakhno, alongside a team of expert engineers, created ROBOjuice with the goal of helping fast-casual restaurants increase productivity, while being “10 times more affordable to deploy, and two times more profitable compared to traditional, labor-intensive fast-casual restaurants”.
