AIxCrypto launches RoboShare robot rental platform and autonomous asset network

July 7, 2026 by Sam Francis

AIxCrypto has unveiled a robot rental marketplace and a new infrastructure platform for autonomous assets as it seeks to extend the commercial life of robots beyond their initial sale.

The Nasdaq-listed company introduced RoboShare and AIXC01 during the recent Automate Show in Chicago, outlining a strategy it says will allow robots, AI agents and other autonomous systems to generate value throughout their operational lifetime rather than only at the point of purchase.

RoboShare is designed as a marketplace that matches businesses looking to rent robots with owners seeking to monetize underused robotic equipment. The platform will support both full robot rentals and service-based bookings, enabling companies to access robotic capabilities without purchasing equipment outright. Interview with Clearpath Robotics co-founder Ryan Gariepy: ‘Most industries in Canada are under-automated’

June 22, 2026 by Sam Francis

Canada has long been recognized for its contributions to robotics research, producing world-class universities, pioneering robotics startups, and innovative technologies that have found applications across manufacturing, logistics, agriculture, mining, and defense.

Yet despite this strong technical foundation, many observers argue that Canada has not always translated its research strengths into widespread industrial deployment at the same pace as some other leading economies.

Few people have witnessed that evolution more closely than Ryan Gariepy, co-founder of Clearpath Robotics, one of Canada’s most successful robotics companies. [Read more…] about Interview with Clearpath Robotics co-founder Ryan Gariepy: ‘Most industries in Canada are under-automated’

Interview with Jun Wu of GMEX Robotics: ‘We provide an integrated terminal + brain closed-loop system’

June 5, 2026 by Sam Francis

Artificial intelligence may dominate the headlines, but the future of robotics will depend on much more than software alone.

While many companies are racing to develop foundation models and increasingly capable AI systems, others argue that the real challenge lies in combining intelligence with hardware that can operate reliably in the physical world.

One company taking that approach is GMEX Robotics, a Nasdaq-listed developer of AI-enabled robotic systems for industrial, commercial, and consumer applications. [Read more…] about Interview with Jun Wu of GMEX Robotics: ‘We provide an integrated terminal + brain closed-loop system’

Japan promotes Osaka as a gateway for robotics and technology investment

June 4, 2026 by Sam Francis

Japan is stepping up efforts to attract overseas technology companies and investors to Osaka, positioning the city as an alternative gateway to the Japanese market and a potential hub for innovation in sectors such as robotics, artificial intelligence, semiconductors, and advanced manufacturing.

The initiative is being led by the Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO), a government-backed agency that promotes trade and investment between Japan and the rest of the world.

Following Expo 2025 Osaka, JETRO is highlighting a range of programs designed to help foreign companies establish operations in the Osaka and Kansai region. [Read more…] about Japan promotes Osaka as a gateway for robotics and technology investment

Physical AI’s looming data rights battle: Interview with Kate Shen of Anaxi Labs

June 2, 2026 by Sam Francis

As artificial intelligence continues its rapid expansion into the physical world, much of the industry’s attention has focused on increasingly capable robots, larger AI models, and the vast datasets required to train them.

But a growing number of observers are asking a different question: who owns the data that makes physical AI possible, and who should benefit from it?

Kate Shen, co-founder of Anaxi Labs, is among those pushing the debate into the spotlight. Her company is developing infrastructure for what it describes as a global AI and robotics data supply chain, with a particular emphasis on worker consent, data ownership, compensation, and regulatory compliance. The expertise leak: Why high-growth technical operations are bottlenecked by admin bloat

June 2, 2026 by Sam Francis

Robotics and automation companies are growing faster than ever, yet most run headfirst into the same problem: Top engineers lose precious time handling admin work instead of solving real technical challenges.

Whether it’s project tracking or juggling vendors, all this extra administration quietly saps expertise from technical teams and drags down innovation across the industry.

Speed is everything in robotics and automation. The winners are usually the folks who get from prototype to deployment without tripping over operational messes. But there’s an issue inside all these fast-growing tech companies that isn’t talked about enough: Expertise leak.
