‘E-logistics’ event Deliver opens its doors in Portugal

The Portuguese capital city of Lisbon is playing host to one of the most important events in the e-commerce logistics and supply chain industry, Deliver.

Some describe Deliver as the “Davos of e-commerce” because it attracts all the most important e-commerce companies as well as the companies which provide the technology they rely on.

Geek Plus Robotics looks set to expand into the multibillion-dollar forklift truck market

Geek Plus Robotics says it is receiving high levels of interest from heavy industry for its supply chain automation technologies, which are currently being showcased at ProMAT, in Chicago. 

A spokesperson for the company says the specific products generating the interest are its autonomous forklift truck as well as its M1000, which, as the name suggests, is a warehouse mobile robot with a payload of 1,000 kg. The driverless forklift’s payload is 1.6 tons.

Former SAP global vice president joins Geek Plus Robotics to ‘accelerate business growth’

Artificial intelligence and supply chain automation company Geek Plus Robotics has appointed Michael Hao as executive president.

He will report to Yong Zheng, CEO of Geek Plus, which specialises in warehouse robots.

Hao previously served as SAP’s global Vice President & General Manager of China. Geek Plus Robotics raises $150 million in ‘world’s largest Series B financing in logistics robotics’

Supply chain automation solutions company Geek Plus Robotics has completed a Series B financing round in which it raised a staggering $150 million. 

The company says this is “the world’s largest financing in artificial intelligence-enabled logistics robotics”.

As of the closing of this round of financing, Warburg Pincus has committed a total of approximately $100 million in Geek Plus through a series of investments since 2017, which had also been participated by other existing shareholders including Volcanics Venture and Vertex Ventures.

Geek Plus launches autonomous forklift and ‘new generation of material handling solutions’ at CIIF

Supply chain robotics specialist Geek Plus is launching a new generation of material handling solutions at the China International Industry Fair, scheduled for later this month.

The new technologies include an automatic forklift alongside a full-process intralogistics automation solution.

GreyOrange opens US headquarters in Atlanta and plans to build 20,000 robots

Warehouse robotics and automation provider GreyOrange is establishing its US headquarters in Atlanta, Georgia.

The company says this will help it to better serve local customers and meet market demands. Approximately 50 new jobs will be created in various departments.
