Chinese robotics company Unitree Technology expects strong revenue growth in the first half of 2026 as demand for humanoid robots and embodied AI continues to increase, according to reports by DigiTimes and AFP.
The company expects first-half revenue of about CNY1.1 billion ($156 million), representing year-on-year growth of between 35.6 percent and 45.4 percent, the reports said.
The figures come as Unitree prepares for its planned initial public offering in Shanghai later this month.
Reuters recently reported that the Hangzhou-based company is expected to be valued at more than 50 billion yuan ($7.4 billion) following the IPO, citing valuation guidance prepared by sponsor Citic Securities. The company plans to raise about 4.2 billion yuan to expand research, development and production.
Unitree has become one of China’s best-known robotics companies through its quadruped robots and increasingly capable humanoid platforms, which have attracted attention for demonstrations of running, dancing and martial arts.
The company is also one of the world’s largest humanoid robot manufacturers. According to Counterpoint Research, Unitree ranked second globally by humanoid robot installations in 2025, behind fellow Chinese company AgiBot.
However, Unitree’s international expansion faces growing regulatory challenges.
Last week, the US Federal Communications Commission added new foreign-produced advanced robotic devices to its Covered List, restricting future robot models from obtaining the equipment authorizations generally required for sale in the United States.
Reuters previously reported that Unitree warned in its IPO filing that the measure could affect future access to the US market, which has accounted for a significant share of its overseas revenue.
