Richtech Robotics partners with Microsoft to advance agentic AI in real-world robotics applications

February 2, 2026 by Sam Francis

Richtech Robotics, a US-based provider of AI-driven robots operating in commercial and industrial environments, has announced a hands-on collaboration with Microsoft through the Microsoft AI Co-Innovation Labs to jointly develop and deploy agentic artificial intelligence capabilities in real-world robotic systems.

Through close collaboration between Richtech Robotics’ engineering team and Microsoft’s AI Co-Innovation Labs, the companies worked together to enhance Richtech Robotics’ Adam robot with adaptive intelligence powered by Azure AI.

The collaboration focused on applying vision, voice, and autonomous reasoning to physical environments, enabling robots to move beyond task execution and support more contextual, conversational, and operationally aware interactions. OpenMind launches app store for robots

February 2, 2026 by Sam Francis

OpenMind, a robotics software company, has launched its “App Store for robots”, a platform designed to serve as the software distribution layer for quadruped and humanoid robots already operating in real-world environments.

As robots move beyond research labs into commercial and consumer deployment, software – not hardware – has emerged as the primary constraint on scale. While robotic platforms continue to mature mechanically, most remain locked into vertically integrated software stacks that limit adaptability and slow iteration.

OpenMind’s App Store introduces a shared application marketplace that allows robots to be configured, updated, and repurposed through software. [Read more…] about OpenMind launches app store for robots

Konnex raises $15 million to develop autonomous robotics platform

January 31, 2026 by Sam Francis

Konnex, a startup developing software infrastructure for autonomous robots, has raised $15 million in funding as it looks to expand its platform for implementing robots across industrial and commercial applications.

The company said the funding came from a group of venture investors including Cogitent Ventures, Liquid Capital, Leland Ventures, Covey, M77 Ventures and Block Maven.

Konnex describes its focus as enabling autonomous robots to be deployed and managed more flexibly, rather than operating as closed, proprietary systems tied to specific vendors or environments. [Read more…] about Konnex raises $15 million to develop autonomous robotics platform

Siemens introduces Digital Twin Composer for large-scale digital twin environments

January 28, 2026 by Sam Francis

Siemens has launched Digital Twin Composer, a new software solution that builds industrial metaverse environments at scale, empowering organizations to apply industrial AI, simulation and real-time physical data to make decisions virtually, at speed and at scale.

Digital Twin Composer enables industrial companies to combine 2D and 3D digital twin data from Siemens’ comprehensive digital twin with physical real-time information in a managed, secure real-time photorealistic visual scene, built using Nvidia Omniverse libraries.

With Digital Twin Composer, companies can rapidly build and maintain this global environment, containing all aspects of their product or production data (both virtual and physical) in a secure, managed high-fidelity 3D experience, throughout the lifecycle of the product, process or facility. Before-and-After Automation Metrics: How to Compare Results Without Fooling Yourself

January 14, 2026 by Sam Francis

The problem with headline automation numbers

Automation projects are often announced with confident figures. A factory reports a 25 percent productivity increase. An RPA deployment claims faster processing times.

A robotics rollout is said to have reduced downtime significantly. These numbers sound compelling, but they can be misleading if the comparison behind them is poorly constructed.

The issue is rarely the absence of data. It is how that data is summarised and presented. [Read more…] about Before-and-After Automation Metrics: How to Compare Results Without Fooling Yourself

Best Free 2026 Video Cleanup Workflow: AI Image Editor + Video Watermark Remover

January 1, 2026 by Sam Francis

In 2026, video is still the fastest way to earn attention – but it’s also the fastest way to look unprofessional if your visuals aren’t clean. You can have great footage, a strong hook, and a solid message… and one ugly overlay or watermark can instantly make the whole clip feel “reposted,” low-effort, or not brand-ready. Top CMMS Use Cases That Reduce Maintenance Costs

January 1, 2026 by Sam Francis

Most teams these days notice that their maintenance costs are rising. The budget gets used up due to unexpected downtime, overtime hours, emergency services, part replacement orders, and so on.

If this is also happening with your maintenance team, then you are not alone. Wondering about the reason for such hiked costs for maintenance? The answer is simple: you may lack proper visibility, and your operations might be running on guesswork.

Major reasons costs increase while running maintenance operations are when things are not centralized and streamlined, and proper planning is not involved. So, teams are always paying for the surprises. This is where a CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) changes everything.
