Generalist AI raises $400 million to scale robot intelligence platform

Generalist AI, a startup developing foundation models for robotics, has raised $400 million in new funding as it seeks to accelerate the development of what it calls “physical AGI” – artificial general intelligence capable of operating in the physical world through robots.

The funding round values the company at approximately $2 billion and brings its total capital raised to more than $500 million.

The round was led by Radical Ventures, with participation from 8VC, Union Square Ventures, Hanabi Capital and Norwest. Existing investors including Nvidia’s NVentures, Boldstart Ventures, Spark Capital, Bezos Expeditions and NFDG also participated. Slamcore secures $14 million funding from investors including Rockwell Automation

Slamcore, a developer of spatial intelligence software, has announced a $14 million funding round from top investors, including ROKStar Ventures, a subsidiary of Rockwell Automation, one of the world’s largest industrial automation and digital transformation companies. 

The round brings Slamcore’s total funding to $40 million, with backing from investors including Toyota Ventures, Interwoven Ventures, MMC Ventures, Amadeus Capital Partners and IP Group.

Wayve could raise $2 billion in its next funding round with Nvidia in talks to invest $500 million

Wayve, a specialist in embodied AI for autonomous driving, could be in line to raise as much as $2 billion in its next funding round, according to some observers.

The company recently announced it has signed a letter of intent with Nvidia to evaluate a $500 million strategic investment in Wayve’s next funding round.

This investment builds on Nvidia’s participation in Wayve’s Series C funding round and fuels the company’s continued growth. It also reflects the companies’ shared vision to bring safe, scalable, and production-ready autonomous driving technology to market.
