Noah Medical raises $150 million to scale robotics surgery solutions

Medical robotics innovator Noah Medical has raised $150 million in Series B funding.

With participation from a number of well-known institutional and strategic investors, Noah Medical says it will use the funds to meet rising demand for the Galaxy System, its next-generation, integrated solution for navigated robotic bronchoscopy.

Co-led by the Softbank Vision Fund and Prosperity7 Ventures, the oversubscribed round also included investments from Tiger Global, Hillhouse, Sequoia China, Shangbay Capital, Uphonest Capital, Sunmed Capital, Lyfe Capital, 1955 Capital, and AME cloud ventures, as well as undisclosed strategic and existing investors. Fuzzy Logic Robotics and Visionic partner to automate cleaning of complex parts in aeronautics

Visionic designs off-the-shelf optical guidance and control solutions for complex industrial manufacturing processes. As an integrator, they aim for constant improvement of industrial performance.

Fuzzy Logic Robotics, with its no-code software that allows non-experts to create, simulate and control a robot cell in real time, aims to democratize industrial robotics.

Together, Fuzzy Logic and Visionic are removing the technological and financial obstacles to the robotization of applications that were previously unheard of, or perceived as impossible, such as pressure cleaning and the decontamination of engine parts in the aeronautics industry. Deep Robotics claims ‘breakthrough’ in autonomous search using quadrupedal robots

Deep Robotics, which specializes in the development and industrial application of quadrupedal robots, has launched a range of five Jueying X20 robots.

The company says the robots successfully completed a series of autonomous collaborative searches in a trial using eight different scenarios across an unknown environment of 3,000 square meters.

Doosan Robotics partners with iAutomation to expand distribution in eastern USA

Doosan Robotics, a maker of industrial and collaborative robotics, has agreed a partnership with iAutomation, a distributor of automation and robotics solutions.

The new partnership expands the reach of Doosan service robots and cobots to OEM machine builders and end users along the east coast of the US.

Carbon Robotics raises $30 million in funding to scale its AI-powered LaserWeeder platform

Carbon Robotics, a provider of AI-powered robotics to the agricultural sector, has closed $30 million in Series C financing from new lead investor Sozo Ventures along with existing investors Anthos Capital, Fuse Venture Capital, Ignition Partners, Liquid2 and Voyager Capital.

The funding will be used to expand sales regions in North America, optimize and scale manufacturing, develop new software and hardware products, and launch into international markets. This latest round of financing brings Carbon Robotics’ overall funding to $67 million.

Rob Freelen, managing director of Sozo Ventures, says: “Carbon Robotics’ elegant use of AI, computer vision, robotics and lasers is the only solution that enables farmers to reduce their most expensive line item – weed control – without damaging plants or the soil. Flexiv unveils robotic masseur

Flexiv, a provider of general-purpose robotics solutions, has developed a fully automatic massaging application for its Rizon 4 robot.

Powered by artificial intelligence, computer vision, and force feedback, the robot can provide a massage “equal to any human masseur”, boasts the company.

ABB provides ‘complete range of robots’ for one of Europe’s largest kitchen makers

ABB Robotics has been selected by Nobia to supply robotic automation solutions for their new factory in Jönköping, Sweden.

Nobia is one of Europe’s largest producers of kitchen furniture and related equipment.

PickNik Robotics and Motiv to jointly develop of advanced robotics capabilities

PickNik Robotics, a developer of advanced robot arm software solutions, and Motiv Space Systems, a designer and manufacturer of space-rated robotic systems, motor controllers, and mechanisms, have agreed a partnership to develop advanced robotics for space applications.

The partnership aims to advance In-Space Servicing, Assembly, and Manufacturing (ISAM) capabilities through the integration of PickNik’s MoveIt Studio technology for robot arm control and Motiv’s xLink robot arm product line.

PickNik Robotics, known as the Unstructured Robotics Company, has a ten-year heritage in advanced robotics control software and has received SBIR Phase 3 funding from NASA to develop advanced planning capabilities for robots in microgravity environments. Nauticus Robotics launch new generation of its Aquanauts

Nauticus Robotics, a developer of autonomous robots using artificial intelligence for data collection and intervention services for the ocean industries, has launched the first of three second-generation Aquanauts, dubbed the “Mark 2” (MK2).

The Aquanauts will now start commissioning exercises. Following commissioning, Nauticus expects to send the initial Aquanaut MK2 units to the North Sea and the Gulf of Mexico in the coming months to support customer initiatives in those regions.

The Aquanaut MK2 is a fully electric, untethered and autonomous subsea robot that is controlled through acoustic communication networking and underpinned by Nauticus’ proprietary software suite, toolKITT. The artificial intelligence-based software suite allows for robotic controls, user interfaces, sensor integration, simulation, data analysis, and communication frameworks purpose-built to enable subsea work.
