HD Hyundai selects Siemens Xcelerator for integrated digital shipbuilding platform

March 5, 2026 by David Edwards

Europe’s largest engineering company, Siemens, has been selected by HD Korea Shipbuilding & Offshore Engineering (HD KSOE), the intermediary holding company of HD Hyundai, as a preferred partner to establish an integrated platform to manage the entire shipbuilding process as a single data flow to help ensure consistency across all its global shipyard facilities.

The planned platform will form the core foundation of HD Hyundai’s “Future of Shipyard” project, a future-oriented shipyard that it aims to complete by 2030.

The project forms part of HD Hyundai’s ongoing efforts to address data discontinuities that have existed across ship design and production processes and to establish a more structured, digitally enabled shipbuilding environment. Allonic raises $7.2 million to build ‘foundation for advanced robotic hardware’

February 12, 2026 by Sam Francis

Robotic intelligence is advancing at an extraordinary pace, with perception and autonomy improving by the day. But as robotics grows into the next global ecosystem, one constraint continues to hold the entire field back: how robot bodies are manufactured.

Today, most advanced robots are still built through slow, often manual assembly of hundreds of precision parts. This makes them expensive to produce, hard to customize for diverse use cases, and difficult to scale.

Allonic believes this manufacturing bottleneck is now the defining limit on what robotics can become.

Founded in Hungary, with a joint US HQ, Allonic is building a new manufacturing platform designed to remove that constraint entirely. [Read more…] about Allonic raises $7.2 million to build ‘foundation for advanced robotic hardware’

Discontinued Electronic Products: In-depth Analysis of PCB Reverse Engineering and IC Unlock Techniques

February 9, 2026 by Sam Francis

You might find old electronic products that are not supported anymore. If you reverse engineer circuit board parts from these, you can fix and improve them. Many people do this to repair old gadgets or make them last longer.

Some want to avoid planned obsolescence. Sometimes, you need to reverse engineer circuit board layouts if you cannot find schematics or repair guides. [Read more…] about Discontinued Electronic Products: In-depth Analysis of PCB Reverse Engineering and IC Unlock Techniques
