Canadian engineering services company AtkinsRéalis acquires Australian engineering consultancy ADG

Canadian engineering services company AtkinsRéalis has acquired ADG, a Brisbane, Australia-headquartered engineering consultancy known for its local expertise and agile delivery in civil, structural, and digital engineering across transport infrastructure, commercial and residential developments, and urban renewal.

This move significantly increases AtkinsRéalis’ workforce to 350 experts in Australia, and for its clients, combines responsive local teams with global expertise – broadening AtkinsRéalis’ services and increasing its capacity to deliver complex, multidisciplinary projects across the defence, energy, water, buildings and places and transportation markets.

German industrial automation giant Dürr reports ‘significant earnings increase’ in third quarter

Industrial automation and robotics specialist Dürr has reported a sharp improvement in profitability for the third quarter of 2025, signalling a potential turnaround after a challenging period marked by weak order intake and restructuring.

The German engineering group said EBIT before extraordinary effects rose 40 percent year-on-year to €69 million, delivering a margin of 6.6 percent for the quarter.

Fabric8Labs secures $50 million to expand US advanced manufacturing capacity

Carbon raises $60 million to accelerate growth of its advanced manufacturing market share

Carbon, a Silicon Valley-based additive manufacturing company enabling large-scale production across a wide range of industries, announced it has raised $60 million in new funding.

The round was headlined by current investors Sequoia Capital, Silver Lake, adidas, Baillie Gifford, Madrone, and Northgate.

Einride to go public through SPAC with Legato at $1.8 billion valuation, targeting NYSE listing

Einride, the Sweden-founded developer of digital, electric and autonomous freight technology, plans to go public through a business combination with Legato Merger Corp. III (NYSEAMERICAN: LEGT), valuing the company at $1.8 billion and aiming for a New York Stock Exchange listing in the first half of 2026, according to the companies.

A spokesperson for Einride said: “Today, Einride, a leading technology company specializing in autonomous and electric freight operations, and Legato Merger Corp., a special purpose acquisition company (SPAC), announced their plans to go public through a SPAC deal and a $1.8 billion valuation, and be listed on NYSE.”

H3 Zoom raises $1.8 million to expand AI-powered infrastructure inspection across Asia

Singapore-based deep tech startup H3 Zoom has secured $1.8 million in the first closing of its Series A funding round, led by JRE Ventures, the corporate venture capital arm of JR East, with participation from SGInnovate and M7 Holdings.

The company, which develops AI-powered inspection and asset management tools for critical infrastructure, says the funds will support expansion into Japan and Hong Kong, strengthen operations in Singapore, and accelerate research and development.

Delvitech raises $40 million in Series B investment round

Delvitech, a “deep tech” company specialising in the development of artificial intelligence-native automated optical inspection solutions for electronics, successfully closed a Series B investment round of $40 million.

The round was led by EGS Beteiligungen (EGSB), the Investment Company of the Ernst Göhner Foundation, together with CREADD Ventures, and joined by several prominent European private investors who contributed to this substantial fundraising.

F-Prime’s ‘State of Robotics 2025’ report shows record $21 billion investment. But is it another bubble?

Investment in robotics is projected to reach an all-time high of $21 billion this year, according to F-Prime Capital’s latest State of Robotics 2025 report – a jump fuelled by generative AI, defense spending, and merger-and-acquisition activity.

The report, which tracks venture funding, valuations, and exits across the global robotics sector, highlights a 150 percent increase in funding for so-called “general purpose robotics” – a category covering humanoids and AI-driven machines – rising from $2 billion in 2024 to $5 billion this year.

BTRY raises $5.7 million to industrialize ultra-thin solid-state cells

Swiss battery start-up BTRY has raised $5.7 million in an oversubscribed seed round.

The funds will accelerate the industrialization of its ultra-thin solid-state batteries – a new category of energy storage combining fast charging, extreme temperature stability, and intrinsic safety in one of the world’s thinnest formats.
