Locus Robotics expands European headquarters with new automation demo and customer hub

Locus Robotics, a provider of warehouse automation technologies, has embarked on the next phase of its European growth with plans to relocate its European headquarters operations to Logistics Campus Aalsmeer.

The increased footprint will provide significantly more space for Locus Robotics’ European teams, warehouse operations, customer demonstrations, solution training, partner engagement, and regional robot lifecycle support.

Plus One Robotics streams eight hours of live warehouse automation performance

Warehouse automation company Plus One Robotics has completed an eight-hour live stream demonstration of its AI-powered parcel induction system, offering what the company described as a transparent look at the realities of large-scale warehouse robotics operations.

The livestream, broadcast on the company’s YouTube and LinkedIn channels, showcased a robotic parcel induction system operating continuously in a real-world workflow environment while displaying live operational metrics throughout the event.

According to the company, the system completed 19,784 picks during the eight-hour session, achieving throughput of 2,488 picks per hour and an average pick time of 1.45 seconds per parcel. The warehouse robotics firm’s latest win recognises a zero-shot learning system deployed at a Schneider Electric facility in Shanghai

Beijing-headquartered Geekplus (HKEX: 2590.HK) has won the 2026 RBR50 Innovation Award for its Robot Arm Picking Station, an intelligent system that automates item picking, which is widely regarded as the last major bottleneck in warehouse automation.

The award, presented annually by The Robot Report at the Robotics Summit & Expo, recognises the 50 most innovative companies in global robotics. Locus Robotics, a warehouse automation company, has announced the acquisition of Nexera Robotics, a Vancouver, Canada-based robotics company specializing in advanced robotic grasping.

The integration of Nexera’s proprietary NeuraGrasp end-effector technology into the Locus Robotics physical AI platform significantly expands the company’s autonomous mobile manipulation capabilities and broadens what Locus Array can handle across end-to-end fulfillment workflows.

Comau to acquire Brazilian intralogistics and warehouse automation company Invent

Comau has signed a binding agreement for the acquisition of Invent, a Brazil-based company specializing in intralogistics and warehouse automation solutions, with a strong focus on e-commerce and high-throughput distribution environments.

The closing of the transaction is subject to the satisfaction of customary conditions regarding transactions of this type, including necessary regulatory approvals, and is expected to occur in the third quarter of 2026. Under the terms of the agreement Comau will acquire 100 percent of Invent shares.

After the acquisition of Automha, the binding agreement to acquire Invent represents a further step in Comau’s international expansion strategy and growth plan, which focuses on expanding competencies through the integration of complementary technologies and expertise. GreyOrange launches AI warehouse simulator to model automation performance and costs

GreyOrange has launched a new warehouse simulation platform designed to help operators model automation deployments, estimate costs, and predict system performance before implementing changes on-site.

Called GreyMatter Foundry, the platform combines warehouse flow design, layout planning, and automation sizing within a single simulation environment. The company says the system can model mixed fleets of robots, automation equipment, and human workers operating together across complex fulfillment environments.

Smart Robotics raises €10 million to expand AI-driven warehouse robotics across Europe

Dutch warehouse robotics company Smart Robotics has raised €10 million in Series A funding as it looks to expand its AI-driven robotic picking technology across Europe and strengthen its position in the fast-growing warehouse automation market.

The funding round was led by Rotterdamse Havendraken, with participation from Innovation Industries and Dutch family office Ernij Next.

Founded in 2015 and headquartered in Best, the Netherlands, Smart Robotics develops AI-based robotic pick-and-place systems for intralogistics operations. The company says it has deployed more than 120 systems across 15 countries and five industries, executing more than one billion successful robotic picks in live warehouse environments.
