Bridging the Gap Between Software RPA and Warehouse Robotics

January 16, 2026 by Sam Francis

Warehouse automation traditionally followed two directions. Software RPA simplified digital processes, and warehouse robotics controlled physical tasks.

However, these two elements are converging now. Their integration helps you achieve more accurate and synchronized operations. Keep reading and learn how different systems interact and improve your productivity. [Read more…] about Bridging the Gap Between Software RPA and Warehouse Robotics

How Warehouses Improve Accuracy at Scale Without Rebuilding Operations

January 11, 2026 by Sam Francis

Once a warehouse moves beyond a few hundred orders per day, accuracy challenges stop being isolated mistakes and begin turning into systemic cost leaks.

At lower volumes, occasional picking or packing errors may seem manageable. As fulfillment scales, however, those same errors quietly erode margins. In high-volume warehouses and fast-growing 3PL environments, accuracy is no longer just an operational metric- it directly affects customer retention, carrier costs, and long-term growth.

This shift is why many warehouse leaders are rethinking how accuracy is built into their workflows instead of relying solely on manual checks and human vigilance. [Read more…] about How Warehouses Improve Accuracy at Scale Without Rebuilding Operations

Goya’s Latin American products gain capacity with a pallet shuttle system in Toledo

January 9, 2026 by Sam Francis

Goya, a distributor of Latin American food products in Europe, has expanded its warehouse in Casarrubios del Monte (Toledo province) with Mecalux’s semi-automated Pallet Shuttle.

The storage system has boosted the company’s logistics performance, ensuring fast replenishment to 4,000 points of sale throughout Spain.

“Mecalux’s semi-automated Pallet Shuttle gives us the flexibility we need to manage over 2,200 items and run a more efficient operation,” says a Goya representative. [Read more…] about Goya’s Latin American products gain capacity with a pallet shuttle system in Toledo

Robotics & Automation News launches in-depth AMRs vs AGVs trend analysis

January 8, 2026 by Sam Francis

After more than a decade of covering robotics and automation long before the sector became a global talking point, Robotics & Automation News has published its first full-length market and technology report: “AMRs vs AGVs: A 2026-2030 trend analysis for mobile automation.”

The 44-page report examines one of the most persistent debates in modern warehouse and manufacturing automation – whether autonomous mobile robots (AMRs) are replacing automated guided vehicles (AGVs), or whether the two technologies are evolving along fundamentally different economic paths.

Drawing on years of reporting, operator insight, and analysis of real-world deployments, the report moves beyond headline claims to focus on the underlying operational logic shaping mobile automation decisions. From Manual Tracking to Intelligent Monitoring: Modernizing Warehouse Oversight

December 19, 2025 by David Edwards

Warehouses have not always looked the same. A few years ago, many still relied on paper logs, walkie-talkies, and human memory for tracking inventory and activity. As long as volumes were stable, this rough system, though imperfect, got the job done.

Today, things are different. With rising sales, tighter deadlines, and more complex operations, those same warehouses often find themselves caught off guard when delays, stock mismatches, or bottlenecks appear. It becomes difficult to know what is happening on the floor until a problem is already visible, sometimes too late to avoid disruption.

That is why many operators are moving from manual tracking to real-time monitoring. Instead of waiting until the end of a shift to review what happened, they now rely on live signals that show stock movement, equipment status, and workflow progress as work unfolds. G&J Pepsi expands Cyngn autonomous tugger deployment across distribution network

December 17, 2025 by David Edwards

Cyngn says that G&J Pepsi has signed a new purchase order for a multi-vehicle expansion of its DriveMod Tugger program. The order represents a continuation of G&J Pepsi’s shift toward scaled autonomy across its distribution network.

This next phase of deployment is notable because G&J Pepsi has not yet finalized which facilities will receive the vehicles. The decision to move forward ahead of site selection reflects the consistency of DriveMod’s performance and its applicability across a range of workflows.

“Customers increasingly view autonomy as a strategic capability rather than a point solution tied to a single use case,” said Lior Tal, Cyngn’s CEO. [Read more…] about G&J Pepsi expands Cyngn autonomous tugger deployment across distribution network
