Seegrid surpasses 20 million autonomous miles in industrial facilities

May 12, 2026 by David Edwards

Autonomous mobile robot developer Seegrid says its fleet has surpassed 20 million autonomous miles driven across customer production environments, marking a major milestone for the company’s operations in manufacturing, warehousing, and logistics.

The company says the total distance travelled by its autonomous mobile robots (AMRs) is equivalent to circling the Earth more than 800 times, with all miles logged inside active industrial facilities rather than controlled test environments.

Seegrid’s systems are deployed in large-scale production operations, including automotive manufacturing plants and warehouse environments operating around the clock. [Read more…] about Seegrid surpasses 20 million autonomous miles in industrial facilities

Cyngn triples autonomous vehicle orders as patent portfolio continues to expand

February 2, 2026 by Sam Francis

Cyngn says it tripled the number of autonomous vehicles ordered in 2025 compared with the previous year, pointing to accelerating enterprise adoption of its DriveMod Tugger platform across manufacturing and industrial sites.

The company said orders for its autonomous vehicles increased year-over-year as a result of expanded customer activity, including dozens of facility visits, on-site demonstrations, software upgrades and fleet preparation work carried out over recent months.

According to Cyngn, teams across sales, engineering, customer success and operations conducted “dozens of customer facility visits to assess workflows and validate deployment use cases”, alongside multiple DriveMod Tugger demonstrations and “back-to-back upgrades of DriveMod 10.8 and Enterprise Autonomy Suite 3.0 at active customer locations”. Opinion: Next-generation AGV powertrains – unlocking efficiency and sustainability in automated material handling

October 13, 2025 by Sam Francis

By Luca Bandiera, business development AGV manager, ZAPI GROUP

Labor optimization is increasingly relying on automated guided vehicles (AGVs) and automated mobile robots (AMRs). Offloading material handling tasks allows leaders to reallocate workers toward higher-value, more complex processes.

However, for OEMs and machine engineers, challenges remain, particularly in powertrain design. As AGVs and AMRs advance in capability and complexity, so must the powertrains that propel them.

Achieving sustainable next-generation drivetrains requires OEMs to choose between fully integrated powertrain systems and modular, component-based ones. This choice impacts every link in the handling chain, from supplier logistics to final installation. Pudu Robotics launches new robots for heavy-payload industrial work

July 31, 2025 by David Edwards

Pudu Robotics, a provider of service robotics, has launched its PUDU T600 Series, a next-generation lineup of industrial delivery robots purpose-built for high-payload, autonomous goods handling in complex industrial environments.

Following the success of the PUDU T300, which addressed mid-load transport needs, the T600 Series marks Pudu’s expansion into heavy-payload logistics and end-to-end automation.

It is designed to help manufacturers respond to growing demands for throughput, labor flexibility, and adaptive intralogistics – especially in fast-changing production and warehouse settings. [Read more…] about Pudu Robotics launches new robots for heavy-payload industrial work
