QCraft partners with HERE Technologies to expand autonomous driving in Europe

QCraft, an autonomous driving technology company, signed a memorandum of understanding with HERE Technologies, a mapping and location data platform, at an event called HERE Directions 2026 in Munich.

Under the MoU, the two companies will explore how HERE’s map data and location intelligence can work together with QCraft’s navigation-assisted driving technology, with the goal of speeding up the local validation and rollout of intelligent driving solutions in Europe and other international markets.

Skild AI trains robots to learn physical skills through self-play

Skild AI has demonstrated a new self-play training approach that enables robots to develop physical skills without relying on human demonstrations, using its S1 robotics foundation model to learn soccer through more than 140 years of simulated play.

ETH Zurich scientists turn WUJI robotic hand into self-propelled mobile manipulator

Scientists at ETH Zurich have demonstrated how an anthropomorphic robotic hand can use its fingers not only for manipulation but also for locomotion, enabling the hand to crawl, recover from falls and move around its environment without a separate mobility system.

The research used an off-the-shelf robotic hand from WUJI, a developer of dexterous robotic hands and teleoperation technology.

Rather than mounting the hand on a conventional robot arm or mobile platform, the researchers trained it to support its own weight and move using the same fingers normally intended for grasping and manipulation. Pudu Robotics, best known for the delivery and cleaning robots increasingly found in restaurants, hotels and other commercial environments, is expanding its technology portfolio into semi-humanoid robots and quadrupeds as it looks beyond its established service robotics business.

The company demonstrated the direction of that expansion at IFA 2026 in Berlin in early September, where it exhibited a range of robots spanning commercial cleaning, industrial manipulation and four-legged mobility.
