The Automation Age: 6 Ways Pick and Pack Fulfillment is Revolutionizing Order Delivery

July 13, 2026 by Sam Francis

The expectations governing the modern supply chain have shifted permanently. Consumers and business clients alike no longer view two-day shipping as a premium luxury; they consider it the baseline standard.

For e-commerce businesses and growing enterprises, meeting this demand requires a complete overhaul of traditional logistics. The days of manual warehouse workers walking miles of aisles with paper clipboards are giving way to streamlined, technology-driven ecosystems.

At the heart of this evolution is the critical process of transforming a digital order confirmation into a physical package ready for transit. [Read more…] about The Automation Age: 6 Ways Pick and Pack Fulfillment is Revolutionizing Order Delivery

AS/RS reimagined: The next generation of warehouse automation and micro-fulfillment

June 23, 2025 by Sam Francis

The modern supply chain is a battlefield of rising expectations. E-commerce demands faster deliveries, labor shortages persist, and the pressure to optimize every square foot of warehouse space is relentless.

In this environment, Automated Storage and Retrieval Systems (AS/RS), once considered foundational automation, are no longer just about static storage; they are being reimagined as dynamic, intelligent components at the very heart of advanced logistics.

This feature explores the cutting-edge designs, sophisticated integration with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and Warehouse Execution Systems (WES), and their pivotal role in enabling the burgeoning micro-fulfillment trend. Autonomous Mobile Robots Deliver on the Promise of Safer Operations

December 3, 2020 by Elaine

Rob Sullivan, President, AutoGuide Mobile Robots

You need to move material but moving that material is risky business. Ninety percent of all forklifts in the US will be in an accident during their useful life, and almost 35,000 people per year suffer severe injuries in forklift-related incidents.

Accidents happen and people are injured when a forklift driver’s view is obscured by the load they’re carrying. It happens all the time but there’s a better way.

Autonomous Mobile Robots (AMRs). Robots that can navigate autonomously along pre-determined paths using only the natural features of the facility. They have built-in sensors and LiDAR scanners that detect objects and personnel in their path to substantially reduce accidents of all kinds.
