UI/UX trends for 2021

May 6, 2021 by Mark Allinson

The best apps have a user interface (UI) that is unique and yet somehow familiar; intuitive and at the same time, alluring.

From the very moment a user starts the app launcher, through the overall course of using it, they should feel like they get reacquainted with an old friend.

The user understands what to do and how to behave while being excited to discover new depths of functionality. [Read more…] about UI/UX trends for 2021

Scientists use ‘swarmalation’ to design active materials for self-regulating soft robots

March 19, 2021 by David Edwards

During the swarming of birds or fish, each entity coordinates its location relative to the others, so that the swarm moves as one larger, coherent unit.

Fireflies on the other hand coordinate their temporal behavior: within a group, they eventually all flash on and off at the same time and thus act as synchronized oscillators.

Few entities, however, coordinate both their spatial movements and inherent time clocks; the limited examples are termed “swarmalators”, which simultaneously swarm in space and oscillate in time. Realtime Robotics partners with Dematic to develop ‘new capabilities’ for mixed-case palletizing

January 13, 2021 by David Edwards

Realtime Robotics, a developer of autonomous motion planning systems for industrial robots, has agreed a partnership with Dematic, a global intralogistics company.

The use of Realtime’s advanced multi-robot coordination and spatial perception technology paired with Dematic’s automated palletizing software will vastly improve the accuracy, cycle time and stability of mixed case palletizing cells.

In the hyper-competitive logistics space, solution providers are being challenged to reduce cost and time to deploy all while continuing to increase key productivity metrics. [Read more…] about Realtime Robotics partners with Dematic to develop ‘new capabilities’ for mixed-case palletizing

Motor Controllers Used in Autonomous Mobile Robots

July 24, 2020 by Polly

Internal logistics is an indispensable part of the supply chain, especially in large manufacturing enterprises.

However, the tasks involved can also be quite repetitive. Humans can easily do such tasks, but that’s neither cost-effective nor efficient.

Why waste employee resources doing mundane and repetitive tasks when they can be automated? [Read more…] about Motor Controllers Used in Autonomous Mobile Robots
