Realtime Robotics raises $9.5 million in additional funding

Realtime Robotics, a developer of collision-free autonomous motion planning for industrial robots, today announced that it has secured an additional $9.5 million in funding from Shinhan GIB and Kyobo Life Insurance.

Driven by the strong response to its RapidPlan industrial robotics motion control and collision avoidance software, Realtime will use this additional investment to drive further product enhancements, incorporate feedback from customers and partners, and scale to support additional go-to-market efforts.

RapidPlan reduces the annual costs of robotic automation by two-thirds and makes the robot programming process up to 5x faster, all while eliminating collisions and removing the majority of manual, time-consuming adjustments. Realtime Robotics integrates robot motion planning and control software with Siemens Process Simulate

Realtime Robotics, the leader in collision-free autonomous motion planning for industrial robots, today announced that it has teamed with Siemens to integrate its RapidPlan software with Siemens Process Simulate, in the company’s Tecnomatix portfolio.

This integration enables Siemens customers to utilize Realtime’s innovative robot motion planning and control software as a part of their regular workflow, without leaving Process Simulate.

Customers using the integration can easily visualize, prioritize and simulate robot task plans, and validate them through virtual commissioning. Support for servo weld guns has also been added. Mitsubishi and Realtime Robotics speed up implementation time for industrial robots

Realtime Robotics, a developer of autonomous motion planning for industrial robots, is collaborating with Mitsubishi Electric Automation, to speed up the programming and control of industrial robots with innovative motion control and collision avoidance software.

The two companies demonstrated the combination of Realtime Robotics RapidPlan robot programming and motion control software with Mitsubishi Electric’s industrial robots in a demo cell in Mitsubishi Electric Automation’s booth at the recent Automate Show 2022.

Kawasaki Robotics teams up with Realtime Robotics to develop robot motion planning

Kawasaki Robotics, a manufacturer of industrial robots and automation systems, has teamed up Realtime Robotics, a developer of autonomous motion planning for industrial robots, to automate the programming, implementation and control of its industrial robots.

Realtime Robotics and Kawasaki have partnered on several projects, including helping a major automotive manufacturer improve the speed of programming by 70 percent.

This manufacturer reduced the pre-production engineering commissioning process through the use of automatic, collision-free motion planning technology; technology that in the future will enable the time-consuming physical validation of robot paths to be eliminated altogether. Realtime Robotics opens Japan office

Realtime Robotics, a developer of autonomous motion planning systems for industrial robots, has opened a new office in Japan to meet the growing demand it has experienced in the region. The new office, located in Tokyo, in the Shinagawa area, will be publicly opening on October 1.

Manufacturing, logistics and automotive companies throughout the region have been looking to accelerate their adoption of industrial robotics to enhance productivity and answer labor shortages. Many have turned to Realtime Robotics to help them remove engineering complexity, reduce cycle time, lower expenses and establish greater operational efficiency.

Realtime Robotics raises $31.4 million in Series A funding round

Realtime Robotics, a developer of motion planning software for industrial robots, has completed its $31.4 million Series A round.

New strategic investors including HAHN Automation and SAIC Capital Management, as well as new institutional investors Soundproof Ventures and Heroic Ventures, join existing investors SPARX Asset Management, Omron Ventures, Toyota AI Ventures, Scrum Ventures and Duke Angels in concluding this round.

Realtime Robotics extends technology relationship with Mitsubishi Electric
