Nauticus Robotics launch new generation of its Aquanauts

Nauticus Robotics, a developer of autonomous robots using artificial intelligence for data collection and intervention services for the ocean industries, has launched the first of three second-generation Aquanauts, dubbed the “Mark 2” (MK2).

The Aquanauts will now start commissioning exercises. Following commissioning, Nauticus expects to send the initial Aquanaut MK2 units to the North Sea and the Gulf of Mexico in the coming months to support customer initiatives in those regions.

The Aquanaut MK2 is a fully electric, untethered and autonomous subsea robot that is controlled through acoustic communication networking and underpinned by Nauticus’ proprietary software suite, toolKITT. The artificial intelligence-based software suite allows for robotic controls, user interfaces, sensor integration, simulation, data analysis, and communication frameworks purpose-built to enable subsea work. Agility Robotics launches next generation of its humanoid worker robot

Agility Robotics has unveiled the next generation of its humanoid worker robot, Digit, describing it as “the first human-centric, multi-purpose robot made for logistics work”.

Agility says Digit is designed from the ground up to go where people go and do useful work safely in spaces designed for people, starting with bulk material handling within warehouses and distribution centers.

Megvii to showcase new generation pallet handling robots

MEGVII Automation & Robotics, an AI company that understands logistics the best, announces it will be exhibiting at LogiMAT 2023, held from Apr 25 to Apr 27 in Stuttgart, Germany, at booths #1OG82 in Hall 1 Gallery.

They launched a new generation 3D Pallet Shuttle System in 2022. The unique design distributed control architecture and intelligent software empowered by Megvii AI platform make this system representative of the new generation of pallet shuttles. A half year after the launch, about 500 units were implemented worldwide.

They will showcase this new generation pallet handling solution, a 3D pallet shuttle system in Logimat and demonstrate how to increase capacity, improve space utilization, reduce energy consumption and CO2 emissions and be more productive. ZF partners with Beep to bring autonomous shuttle to US market

ZF has unveiled its next generation shuttle for autonomous driving in urban environments and mixed traffic at the 2023 Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas/ Nevada, USA. The next generation complements the established model, which is primarily designed for use in segregated lanes.

For the new shuttle generation ZF announces a strategic partnership with US mobility services provider Beep. The agreement aims to deliver several thousand shuttles to customers over the coming years, combining ZF’s ATS with Beep’s mobility services and service management platform into a single-source autonomous mobility solution.

Torsten Gollewski, executive vice president, autonomous mobility systems at ZF, says: “In order to reduce traffic-related emissions in metropolitan areas, a reduction in motorized individual transport and a simultaneous expansion of more sustainable, efficient, comfortable, and affordable mobility options are required.” [Read more…] about ZF partners with Beep to bring autonomous shuttle to US market

Brain Corp unveils new platform for its autonomous commercial robots

Brain Corp, an artificial intelligence company specializing in cleaning and inventory robotics, has released its “next generation autonomy platform for commercial robotics”.

The third generation platform represents the latest evolution of Brain Corp’s BrainOS autonomous robotic operating system, which currently powers over 20,000 autonomous robots operating in public spaces, and has been designed to underpin a future generation of intelligent robotic solutions to be applied across multiple commercial sectors.

Auve Tech launches new generation self-driving vehicle

Estonian company Auve Tech has launched a new generation self-driving vehicle.

MiCa is the latest self-driving shuttle from Auve Tech, which specializes in developing and producing autonomous vehicles.
