Austrian start-up Sodex automates essential construction processes

The company says that, through this system, the surveying, documentation and billing of each excavation will be largely automated.

Alstef tests AGVs at Rennes Bretagne Airport in baggage handling

Alstef Group has been utilising the AirportLAB experimentation agreement with Rennes Bretagne Airport, in France, to test its automated guided vehicle.

Created by ProAvia, AirportLAB allows member companies to trial their innovations in a real airport context.

Novanta partners with MassRobotics to ‘advance next generation of robotics’

Novanta has agreed a new partnership with MassRobotics to help create and scale the next generation of successful robotics startups.

Through the partnership, Novanta business units Celera Motion and ATI Industrial Automation will collaborate with MassRobotics to develop advanced innovations in medical or surgical robotics and improve robotic productivity.

MassRobotics is an independent, nonprofit organization serving as an innovation hub for robotics and connected devices. Nonwoven materials event INDEX opens after 18-month wait

INDEX20 opened its doors this week, after an 18-month wait, delighted to welcome the nonwoven industry back to Geneva with open arms. The exhibition floor was bustling with activity and anticipation at the prospect of new business.  

Over 500 exhibitors from 44 countries were present at the event, premiering their latest innovations. Organisers say the resounding message from the event was one of “a positive outcome and an inspiring vision” of the industry’s future across the spectrum of applications sectors.

The industry continued to evolve dramatically during the pandemic, and expectations were high as players from across the industry worldwide came together for the first time since 2017. EPHJ trade show returns to bring together industrial high precision in Geneva

After a somewhat “sterile” year in 2020 due to the Covid-related restrictions, the EPHJ Trade Show has done everything to ensure that this 2021 edition, initially postponed for some months, can now be held in the best possible conditions, given the wider public-health backdrop.

This year, the Trade Show will host more than 500 exhibitors at Palexpo. Large numbers of Swiss and international visitors, mainly from neighbouring countries, have already signed up. From small SMEs to sizeable multinationals, no one wants to miss this “return to normal”.

Cox Automotive acquires computer vision company Fyusion

Cox Automotive has acquired Fyusion, a computer vision company and provider of immersive vehicle imaging solutions for automotive and other industries.

This acquisition will deepen the collaboration between Manheim – a Cox subsidiary – and Fyusion, which have worked together for years to give clients the wholesale industry’s best mobile imaging and condition capture tools in the Manheim Express app.
