Industry group proposes plan to increase automation in logistics facilities

September 6, 2023 by Mark Allinson Leave a Comment

The warehousing and storage industry faces growing demand to deliver goods across the country as consumers purchase more goods online.

To address the productivity crunch and improve workers’ well-being, policymakers should establish measures to support robotic automation in logistics facilities, according to a new report from the Information Technology and Innovation Foundation, the leading think tank for science and technology policy.

Morgan Stevens, a research assistant at ITIF who wrote the report, says: “Firms need to adopt robotics to help workers accomplish more per hour and stay safe while doing so. [Read more…] about Industry group proposes plan to increase automation in logistics facilities

How does Bluetooth AoA Positioning Technology Apply in the Industry?

June 20, 2023 by Mai Tao Leave a Comment

By Blueiot

Bluetooth AoA/AoD positioning technology is a direction-finding feature added on the basis of Bluetooth in early 2019.

Based on the latest BLE (Bluetooth Low Energy) Bluetooth 5.1 Technology, Blueiot applies the Angle of Arrival – Bluetooth AoA positioning algorithm to reach the unique direction of the incoming signals and position of the tag, which can reach 0.1 meter accuracy and improve the accuracy of traditional low-precision Bluetooth by 10 times.

So, which industries can benefit from Bluetooth AoA/AoD location technology? What changes have been made to these industries? [Read more…] about How does Bluetooth AoA Positioning Technology Apply in the Industry?

Reliable Robotics and NASA complete ‘first-of-its-kind’ flight tests to advance aviation safety

April 26, 2023 by Mark Allinson Leave a Comment

Reliable Robotics, a specialist in safety-enhancing aircraft automation systems and the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), says it has completed flight tests designed to substantiate the use of existing Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) primary surveillance radar (PSR) data to improve the safety of the National Airspace System (NAS).

Reliable Robotics has been working with NASA’s Advanced Air Mobility National Campaign since 2021 to advance the safe, secure and efficient integration of remotely piloted aircraft systems.

Of note – the FAA granted NASA limited access to PSR data for these specific flights conducted by Reliable Robotics – a step towards utilizing existing radar infrastructure for Detect and Avoid (DAA) systems. Noah Medical receives FDA clearance for its robotic surgery system

March 7, 2023 by Mark Allinson Leave a Comment

Medical robotics innovator Noah Medical has received FDA clearance for its Galaxy System. The Galaxy System and its accessories are intended to provide bronchoscopic visualization of and access to patient airways for diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.

The majority of potentially cancerous lesions are located in the outer third of the lung, which is more difficult for doctors to reach for biopsy. Current technologies are limited in their ability to both reach and then precisely target these suspect lesions.

The Galaxy System’s advanced imaging technologies provide real-time location updates, and are designed to improve tool-in-lesion and diagnostic yield. [Read more…] about Noah Medical receives FDA clearance for its robotic surgery system
