Siemens partners with Snowflake to enable IT/OT convergence across edge and cloud for industrial customers

Siemens is collaborating with Snowflake, the AI data cloud company, to help manufacturers unlock new levels of operational efficiency, scale and AI-driven insights.

The collaboration enables mutual customers across the globe to connect their operational technology (OT) data from the shop floor with information technology (IT) data, such as supply chain management and financial data.

By connecting Siemens Industrial Edge and Snowflake’s AI Data Cloud, manufacturers can access plug-and-play Industrial Edge applications to contextualize and transfer OT data into IT systems. Robot orders in North America up by 4.3 percent compared with last year

The North American robotics industry continued to build momentum in the first half of 2025.

New data from the Association for Advancing Automation (A3) shows robot orders increased by 4.3 percent and revenue rose 7.5 percent compared to the first half of 2024, a promising sign for continued automation investment amid a complex economic landscape. Record-breaking attendance at this year’s automatica event

automatica, one of the world’s leading industrial automation exhibitions, held from June 24 to 27, 2025, was an impressive demonstration of approaches to solving future challenges using smart automation and robotics.

ANYbotics adds gas leak detection capability to its inspection robot

ANYbotics, a specialist provider of robotic inspection solutions, has launched a new gas leak and presence detection solution for its ANYmal quadruped robot.
