ForwardX Robotics releases new fully autonomous forklift

ForwardX Robotics, an autonomous mobile robot (AMR) and warehouse solutions provider, has added the Apex 1400-L to its list of AMRs available in the United States.

Apex 1400-L is a fully autonomous forklift which further enhances ForwardX’s capabilities in warehousing workflows including receiving, putaway, replenishment, raw material movement, and shipping.

Pony.ai and SAIC AI Lab to develop fully driverless EV robotaxi

Pony.ai, a leading global autonomous driving technology company, is collaborating with SAIC AI Lab, a division of SAIC Motor (Shanghai Automotive Industry Corporation), China’s largest auto manufacturer, to jointly explore and advance driverless technology.

Together with SAIC AI Lab, Pony.ai launched a concept vehicle based on the SAIC Marvel R model and will build out a fleet of autonomous vehicles equipped with Pony.ai’s L4-level driverless solutions, over time.

The concept car is equipped with the latest generation of Pony.ai technology, which utilizes 17 integrated automotive-grade sensors to create a 360-degree visual range covering 200 meters, eliminating blind spots around the vehicle. Epson Robots has expanded its VT6L-Series lineup with the VT6L-DC All-in-One 6-Axis Robot and increased the functionality of its “no-code, easy-to-use” Epson RC+ Express programming software.

Mujin debuts new robotic case handler for warehouse automation

Robotic solutions provider Mujin has debuted its latest product, QuickBot, a comprehensive, quick-deployment robot cell for case handling. The company says the launch of its warehouse solution is poised to make robotic automation in North American logistics a “no-brainer”.

The first application to become available is a depalletizing solution for automating one of the most arduous tasks of the receiving process in warehouses, and QuickBot is designed with everything needed to solve the application.

Mujin boasts that its QuickBot depalletizer – or QB, as it has been nicknamed – is currently the simplest way to automate a warehouse’s receiving operations with robots. Hyundai business unit showcases new autonomous boat navigation technology

HD Hyundai’s ship autonomous navigation subsidiary, Avikus, participated in the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show, the world’s largest boat show, proving its leading capability in autonomous ship technology.

Avikus first introduced “NeuBoat”, the level 2 autonomous navigation solution for recreational boats, at this boat show in Florida, held from October 26 to 30.

NeuBoat is a combination of “neuron” and “boat”, implying Avikus’ AI autonomous navigation solution will play a critical role in self-recognition, decision, and control in various maritime conditions as human nerve cells do. Dexterity and Sumitomo partner to bring ‘next generation robotics’ to Japanese warehouses

Dexterity, a provider of robotic solutions for a variety of industries, has agreed a strategic partnership with the Sumitomo Corporation to install 1,500 Dexterity-powered robots in warehouses across Japan.

Sumitomo Corporation, a Japan-based Fortune 500 multinational, signed an exclusive distributorship agreement in Japan with Dexterity to push into the Robots as a Service (RaaS) business in Japanese warehouses.
