Rockwell Automation, which claims to be the world’s largest company dedicated to industrial automation and digital transformation, has launched FactoryTalk Design Hub.

FactoryTalk Design Hub is intened to enable industrial organizations to transform their automation design capabilities with a more simplified, productive way to work powered by the cloud.

Teams of all sizes, skillsets, and locations can work smarter through enhanced collaboration, improved lifecycle management, and on-demand access to cloud-based software. ShipHero implements inVia Robotics’ automation system to upgrade warehouse operations

inVia Robotics, a specialist provider of e-commerce fulfillment automation systems, has been selected by ShipHero, a shipping and logistics platform for more than 5,000 e-commerce brands and third-party logistic providers, to expand its fully autonomous mobile robot solution into two additional fulfillment centers.

After automating picking and replenishment activities in its Jacksonville, Florida location with inVia, ShipHero will now add the technology to its Allentown, Pennsylvania and Las Vegas, Nevada warehouses.

The two companies have already built a native integration between inVia’s warehouse execution system (WES) and ShipHero’s warehouse management system (WMS) software that will ensure rapid and seamless deployments in these additional facilities. Formic launches industry’s ‘first turnkey palletizer’

Formic, a provider of robotic technologies on a pay-as-you-go basis, has released its SL20 Palletizer – the inaugural product in a new catalog of certified, off-the-shelf, robotics-as-a-service solutions available at a “low cost per hour”.

Built by Sourcelink Solutions, Formic says its new offering further underlines its “commitment to removing the barriers to automation” so that small to mid-sized businesses can onboard the technology and thrive amid today’s challenges.

Study Shows US Drivers Believe Partially Automated Vehicles Are Fully Self-Driving

US drivers may be treating their partially-autonomous vehicles as fully self-driving, according to a new study.

Research shows that owners of advanced systems, such as General Motors’ Super Cruise or Tesla’s Autopilot, believe that these technologies have more capabilities than they actually do.

Cogniteam builds AI capabilities for robots on Nvidia platform

Cogniteam has used the Jetson AGX Orin to enable AI on robots using the Nimbus Operating System.

Dr Yehuda Elmaliah, co-founder and CEO of Cogniteam, says: “The Nvidia AGX Orin is a huge leap for manufacturers and developers who want to see greater AI capabilities on their edge robots.”

Edson to debut new robotic cell at Pack Expo

Edson, a ProMach brand, is debuting its new KDF Stack Prep System, a robotic cell that automates the infeed area of a case packer, in booth N-5348 at Pack Expo 2022, October 23-26, at McCormick Place in Chicago.

Edson is a manufacturer of case and tray packing solutions for the converted paper, diaper, and nonwoven markets.

After stacks are loaded onto the case packer’s infeed conveyors, the KDF (knocked down flat) Stack Prep System prepares the cases by cutting bands and removing dunnage and other cardboard or paper materials used during transportation. United Natural Foods brings in robots from Symbotic to automate warehouse

United Natural Foods has entered into a commercial agreement to implement Symbotic’s AI-powered robotics and software automation in five of UNFI’s distribution centers over the next four years.

Under the agreement, UNFI also has an option to implement Symbotic’s warehouse automation systems in additional distribution centers.

Located in St Charles, Illinois, Compact faced challenges of a shrinking labor pool, high worker turnover, and supply and wage inflation; struggled to meet the increasing demands of the Fortune 500 companies it serves.
