Addverb and Velociti Alliance partner to automate grocery intralogistics

January 9, 2023 by Mark Allinson Leave a Comment

Automation solutions provider Addverb has agreed a new partnership with leading technology solutions provider Velociti Alliance to “bring innovative futuristic warehouse automation and robotics to the convenience store and grocery supply chain”.

Addverb’s comprehensive portfolio of Mobile Robots, ASRS, Picking Technologies, and Software, integrated with Velociti Alliance’s solutions, will enable wholesale distribution centers and warehouses to increase storage capacity and pick throughput.

As businesses continue to navigate labor and staff shortages, integrated automation solutions with Quadron, Addverb’s Carton Shuttle, and Medius, Addverb’s Multi-Level Shuttle, combined with goods-to-person stations powered by Concinity, Addverb’s WES software, can bring efficiencies up to three times more than conventional mechanized and manually operated warehouses. Rockwell Automation and Comau partner to showcase robot control solutions at Automation Fair

November 14, 2022 by Mark Allinson Leave a Comment

Since launching their collaboration in 2021, Comau and Rockwell Automation have been jointly working to leverage the power of robotic solutions to help businesses increase the speed of innovation and maximize their manufacturing efficiencies.

Now, Comau will join Rockwell Automation at the 31st annual Automation Fair, November 16-17 in Chicago, Illinois (booth #1135) to showcase the benefits of the full integration of Comau’s articulated robots with the unified robot control platform by Rockwell Automation.

Integrating Rockwell Automation components and Comau’s robots, using one PLC for controlling both, eliminates the need for additional robot programming skills, required by other robot manufacturers. OnRobot ‘One System’ grippers receive UR+ certification for operation with Universal Robots

December 6, 2019 by David Edwards Leave a Comment

OnRobot/Optoforce konference

OnRobot’s “One System Solution Grippers” have received UR+ certification for seamless operation with Universal Robots. UR+ is like an app store for hardware and software solutions that are compatible with Universal Robots’ collaborative robots.

The certified URCap software provides a unified interface for OnRobot’s new versions of RG2, RG6, and VG10 grippers with Universal Robots (UR).

The URCap allows the OnRobot grippers to work seamlessly with UR’s collaborative robot arms in a single program with no need to change cables or load new software when deploying additional products. OnRobot launches ‘one-system’ solution to make industrial robotic arms more compatible

September 12, 2019 by David Edwards

OnRobot has launched a “one-system” solution which it says makes robots more compatible by enabling their end-effectors to be quickly attached to a variety of brands of robotic arms.

The company says the new unified mechanical and electrical interface for any OnRobot end-of-arm tooling (EoAT) “dramatically simplifies” automation with a single platform for a full range of collaborative and light industrial robotic systems.

OnRobot says the launch is part of its mission of making robotic applications faster and easier to implement with a unified mechanical and electrical interface for any OnRobot EoAT. [Read more…] about OnRobot launches ‘one-system’ solution to make industrial robotic arms more compatible

One of the world’s leading robotics and automation systems manufacturers, Omron, says it will introduce a total of 15,583 models in seven categories in its second wave of factory automation control devices built on a common design platform for unified product specifications.

Omron says it has been continuing to work for the innovation of making control panels which house and control factory automation devices on the production front line.

The company unified the design and size of factory automation devices, and introduced products in April 2016 which are built with the company’s proprietary wiring technology “Push-In Plus Terminal Block” for device and control panel makers in need of “downsizing and space-saving” of factory automation devices and control panels, “expedited delivery”, and “response to globalization”.  [Read more…] about Omron to showcase 16,000 factory automation products
