Bowe Group leads $8.2 million investment round in robot software company Mov.ai

Bowe Group, a provider of integrated automation technology, has led an $8.2 million investment round in Mov.ai, a startup specializing in autonomous mobile robots software.

The investment round includes Mov.ai’s existing investors State of Mind Ventures, NFX, and Viola Ventures.

Veo Robotics launches ‘new and improved’ safeguarding system for human-robot collaboration

Comau supplies robotic systems for 20 Alfa Romeo manufacturing lines

Comau has designed and deployed a flexible body-in-white (BIW – a car body) manufacturing solution for the all-new Tonale (pictured below), the first Alfa SUV of the new generation, meeting both the customer’s rigorous production targets, quality goals and time to market objectives.

The new and enhanced 20 lines are designed to allow the automaker to assemble its mid-size Tonale in a random mix of up to 4 different versions while maintaining the desired throughput.

Epson opens robot training centers for customers and system integrators in the US

In order to meet increased demand for automation solutions, Epson Robots is expanding access to Epson certified robot training for customers and system integrators.

The wide variety of high-quality, certified courses are designed to help students quickly and effectively program and operate Epson’s robot and vision products.

Mitsubishi tests automated robotic valet parking system using robots

Mitsubishi Heavy Industries and Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Machinery Systems have launched Phase 2 of demonstration testing of an automated valet parking system at Shisui Premium Outlets, an outlet mall located in Chiba Prefecture, Japan.

The system employs automated guided vehicle (AGV) robots, dubbed “Stan”, manufactured by Stanley Robotics, a French venture-backed company.

Norwegian postal service to deliver mail using robots

One of Europe’s largest postal services, Posten Norge, is testing the future of the logistics delivery in Oslo with Ottobots, produced by a company called Ottonomy.

Continuing to pave the way for autonomous delivery, Ottonomy announced its collaboration with Posten Norge and Holo for trials for automating first-mile delivery.
