Emerson expands automation portfolio with Afag feeding and handling solutions

Afag is now officially part of Emerson. As a result, Afag’s feeding and handling solutions will be integrated into Emerson’s extensive automation portfolio.

Starting this month, all content on Afag.com, including product documentation, data, and certificates, will be migrated to Emerson.com under the Aventics brand.

Laundry Robotics and Fizyr develop laundry-feeding solution

Fizyr, a provider of vision for robotic systems, has extended its partnership with Laundry Robotics, which initially started in 2016.

In the eight years since, the automatic towel feeder solutions, which Laundry Robotics named Robin and Roy, have been deployed in installations across Europe and North America.

Pickit unveils its first gripper with integrated vision and software aimed at forging and automotive sectors

Robot vision specialist Pickit has unveiled its first gripper. Aimed at the forging and automotive sectors, the end-of-arm-tool has integrated vision and software.

“The bin picking revolution is happening now,” says Pickit. “With matured 3D vision and software, the implementation risks for bin picking revolve around the gripper design. We have integrated gripper, vision, and software to achieve unprecedented reliability. Here’s our new Billet Picker for forging and automotive applications.”

Asyril launches new control system for its robotic system

Asyril has launched Eye+, a new “intelligent control system” that manages the Asycube, hopper, vision and robot. (See video below.)

The company says the system allows the control of all components required for a modern and flexible assembly line.

With Eye+ Asycube users will be able to easily optimise the performance of their system without in-depth knowledge of machine vision and at a highly competitive cost. Epson signs up Industrial Control as distributor in Michigan

Epson Robots has signed up Industrial Control, a provider of factory automation solutions, products, and training, as an official distributor of Epson Robots automation solutions in the state of Michigan.

Epson says Industrial Control’s wealth of knowledge and experience gained through long-standing relationships with machine builders, combined with Epson Robots’ technology, will help manufacturers “reach today’s challenging factory automation objectives”.

Epson to showcase latest robotic solutions at ATX West

Epson Robots will showcase its latest robotic solutions in simulated demos at the Automation Technology Expo, ATX West.

The latest entry-level robot is available at a cost of $13,900 – the VT6L All-in-One 6-Axis robot comes with a built-in controller, a 900mm reach and payload of up to 6kg, and offers 110 V and 220 V power.
