How Automation Can Improve Your Business

November 11, 2024 by Mark Allinson

Getting the best from your business in the modern era is often a matter of knowing when to automate. There are certain processes and tasks that demand human attention – but then there are other (usually more mundane) tasks, that can be performed fairly mindlessly by machines.

Thanks to the advent of artificial intelligence, however, it’s become difficult to see where the line should be drawn. Here, let’s take a closer look at what automation can do for you, and where it might be appropriate to use it. [Read more…] about How Automation Can Improve Your Business

Navigating the Future of Farming with Innovative Logistics Solutions

October 13, 2023 by David Edwards

In a time where climate change, population growth, and food security are pressing global issues, the world is desperate for solutions.

According to the United Nations, it is estimated that the global population will reach 9.7 billion people by 2050. If so, it’s necessary that agricultural production increase by at least 70% to meet the world’s nutritional needs.

As a result, the agricultural sector is undergoing a significant and needed shift. [Read more…] about Navigating the Future of Farming with Innovative Logistics Solutions

The Future of Solar Panel Cleaning: Robots vs Humans

April 27, 2023 by Mark Allinson

One of the advantages of solar systems is their minimal maintenance.

This is true, there are no moving parts in the panels that can fail due to friction, they do not wear out, so they can serve for a long time without loss of efficiency.

But often users notice that performance has started to drop. Some even call specialists, believing that something is wrong with the batteries. There’s something wrong with them, they are just dirty.

Solar systems need constant care. It is necessary to clean the surface of the panels at least 2 times a year – in spring and autumn, but it is better to do this more often. [Read more…] about The Future of Solar Panel Cleaning: Robots vs Humans

DoE offering $30 million for new materials and manufacturing to lower cost of large wind turbines

February 15, 2023 by Mark Allinson

The US Department of Energy has announced a $30 million funding opportunity to advance the cost-effective domestic manufacturing of materials, including lightweight composites, that allow wind turbines to produce power more efficiently.

Because wind energy is the largest source of renewable power in the United States and one of the most affordable sources of energy today, it is a critical tool for reducing our reliance on fossil energy, and next-generation technologies and manufacturing improvements will help bring down costs even more.

The improved materials and manufacturing processes envisioned under this funding opportunity have the potential to reduce wind energy costs and expand the deployment of the nation’s wind energy portfolio in support of President Biden’s goals to reach 100 percent clean electricity by 2035 and a net-zero-emissions economy by 2050. Is Robotic Process Automation Beneficial to the Telecom Sector?

June 19, 2022 by David Edwards

The adoption and utilization of various telecom are on the rise, primarily driven by cutting-edge computing, 5G technology, and the Internet of Things.

While the increase in demand presents perfect opportunities for telecom service providers to generate revenue, it comes with substantial challenges burdening telecom players.

With more users sending large chunks of data from different networks, service providers have realized that handling even basic functions, such as order fulfillment and customer support, is becoming increasingly challenging. Fanuc launches new 1,000 kg payload industrial robotic arm

January 24, 2022 by David Edwards

Fanuc America, the world’s largest maker of industrial robots, has introduced the new M-1000iA robot capable of handling very heavy products including automotive components, construction materials and battery packs for electric vehicles.

The M-1000iA’s serial-link construction gives the robot a wider range of motion in every direction. It can extend its arm upright or rotate it backwards, which is not possible for typical heavy-payload robots with a parallel-link mechanism.

With a 1,000 kg payload, a 3,253 mm horizontal reach, and a 4,297 mm vertical reach the M-1000iA is ready to go to work for manufacturers looking to increase output and maximize their production line’s efficiency. [Read more…] about Fanuc launches new 1,000 kg payload industrial robotic arm
