How Automation Improves Service Consistency in Pest Control Operations

June 2, 2026 by Sam Francis

Managing a scaling pest control operation in this $15 billion industry means fighting a constant battle against human error.

When your business expands across new territories, your biggest risk is not a lack of pests but a lack of operational consistency.

A technician who misses a key step or shows up late quickly destroys customer trust. [Read more…] about How Automation Improves Service Consistency in Pest Control Operations

Rethinking Global Hiring: Choosing the Right Remote Alternative for Modern Teams

May 5, 2026 by David Edwards

Global hiring has evolved far beyond basic Employer of Record (EOR) solutions. Businesses today are not just looking for tools; they’re searching for reliable partners that can support long-term international growth with precision, compliance, and speed. That’s why the demand for strong Remote alternatives is rising across industries.

As companies expand across borders, they need platforms that simplify complexity without sacrificing control. From payroll accuracy to legal compliance and employee experience, every element matters when building a global workforce.

This blog explores what businesses should expect from a modern solution and highlights top platforms that are redefining global employment. [Read more…] about Rethinking Global Hiring: Choosing the Right Remote Alternative for Modern Teams

FieldCamp Introduces AI Dispatcher for Field Service: Skills Matching, Route Optimization, and Emergency Reshuffling Built for the Trades

March 19, 2026 by Sam Francis

A new AI-powered dispatching tool helps plumbing, HVAC, electrical, cleaning, and all the field service companies do more with fewer workers, matching technicians to jobs by skill, optimizing routes, and eliminating the 5:30 AM whiteboard scramble, at a fraction of the cost of a human dispatcher.

March 2026 – FieldCamp (fieldcamp.ai) today highlighted a growing shift in how field service companies are responding to the skilled labor shortage.

Rather than waiting for a workforce recovery that demographic trends suggest will not arrive for at least a decade, service businesses are adopting AI dispatch scheduling software for business operations to dramatically increase the productivity of their existing teams.

The problem is widespread: roughly 30 million field service workers in the United States still receive daily assignments through whiteboards, spreadsheets, text messages, or a single dispatcher who carries the entire operation in their head. When that dispatcher quits or just takes a sick day, the business grinds to a halt. State of Louisiana partners with Persona AI on humanoid robotics pilot at steel fabrication plant

February 2, 2026 by Sam Francis

The State of Louisiana has signed a memorandum of understanding with Persona AI to launch a humanoid robotics pilot program inside an active heavy-industry facility, marking what officials describe as a rare instance of a US state formally supporting humanoid robot development in a live industrial setting.

The pilot will be conducted at SSE Steel Fabrication’s large-scale steel fabrication facility in St Bernard Parish and will focus on collecting real-world data on human movement and task execution in a working manufacturing environment.

According to the announcement, the initiative is intended to support the development of humanoid robots capable of operating in environments “originally built for humans rather than redesigned for traditional automation”, including the use of existing tools, navigation across uneven terrain, and adaptation to changing shop-floor conditions. Why successful automation depends on strong change-management leadership

December 19, 2025 by David Edwards

Automation rarely fails because the tools are weak. Sometimes, it stumbles because people are left behind. As companies roll out smarter software, robots, and data systems, the real test is not technical skill but leadership. It comes down to who explains the change, who listens when doubts surface, and who takes responsibility when fear shows up.

New automation tools now shape everything from scheduling to forecasting, touching jobs that once felt safely human. That change can feel unsettling. Will this make my work easier, or make me irrelevant? Without clear leadership, those questions turn into quiet resistance. Employees keep old habits alive, new systems go unused, and promised gains fade fast.

Strong change-management leadership reshapes the story. In simple terms, it’s how leaders guide people through new ways of working, not just how fast new systems are installed. They answer the questions employees are already asking, sometimes silently. Will my role be different? Will I still matter? What happens if I struggle with the new system? Addressing those concerns early prevents fear from filling the gaps. [Read more…] about Why successful automation depends on strong change-management leadership

Bain report: Humanoid robots still in pilot stage as industry prepares for waves of adoption

September 23, 2025 by Sam Francis

Humanoid robots may be generating headlines and billions in investment, but most deployments remain in the pilot phase, according to Bain & Company’s newly released Global Technology Report 2025.

The consulting firm said humanoids attracted about $2.5 billion in venture capital funding in 2024, driven in part by demographic pressures in advanced economies. Yet despite growing expectations, the reality is that today’s humanoids are “heavily dependent on human input for navigation, dexterity, or task switching”.

Bain’s report, in a chapter titled Humanoid Robots: From Demos to Deployment, highlights both rapid progress and persistent obstacles. Intelligence and perception are nearing human parity, thanks to advances in generative AI and vision systems, but battery performance and fine motor handling remain far behind.
