Ericsson, TIM and Comau test the ‘factory of the future’

June 17, 2022 by Mark Allinson

Ericsson, TIM and Comau say they are testing the “factory of the future” through something called “5G network slicing”.

The three companies have joined forces to develop, on an experimental basis, innovative solutions for Industry 4.0 and smart manufacturing by leveraging the potential of the 5G network. This initiative is part of the EU-funded 5Growth project.

Thanks to TIM and Ericsson’s deployment of a 5G network at Comau’s headquarters in Turin (Italy), three new applications have been launched to demonstrate the advantages of the new technology, and in particular those arising from the slicing functionality of the network, within an industrial environment. Why Do Truck Drivers Need ELDs?

May 23, 2022 by David Edwards

As a truck driver in the states, there are many rules you need to keep in mind while going about your tasks. An Electronic Logging Device (ELD) incorporates most of these safety measures to ensure you stay safe and compliant on the road.

An ELD is a mandated requirement for commercial drivers in most states. An ELD is a reliable way for you to ensure smooth and safe driving without risking any violations. With this device, you can create a safer environment on the road for yourself and others.

Having an ELD in every commercial vehicle became mandatory after April 1, 2018. The law was enforced to track every driver’s Hours of Service (HoS). It helps the Department of Transportation keep an eye on the violations and prevent them. [Read more…] about Why Do Truck Drivers Need ELDs?
