Honeywell partners with Otto Motors to develop robotic solutions for supply chain operations

March 26, 2022 by David Edwards Leave a Comment

Honeywell has agreed a strategic collaboration with Otto Motors, a division of Clearpath Robotics, giving warehouses and distribution centers throughout North America an automated option to handle some of the most labor-intensive roles in an increasingly scarce job market.

The collaboration enables Honeywell customers to increase efficiency, reduce errors and improve safety by deploying Otto’ autonomous mobile robots (AMRs) in their facilities.

These AMRs provide significant productivity benefits by automating the movement of carts used to transport picked orders or returns and can travel over any floor surface smooth enough to handle a traditional cart pushed by a worker. How to Find and Hire the Best Mechanical Engineers

February 14, 2022 by David Edwards Leave a Comment

Mechanical engineers design, build, develop, and test anything that moves – in machinery or the human body (as in the case of prosthetics).

As a result, they play a huge role in many industries such as automotive, biotechnology, computer and electronics, automation, aerospace, and manufacturing.

Essentially, they take a product from start to finish, focusing on the design for aesthetics, functionality, and durability. Sometimes, mechanical engineers dabble into other fields like civil engineering, chemical engineering, industrial engineering, etc.

So, you can see that mechanical engineers are valuable when it comes to manufacturing processes. However, finding and hiring the best mechanical engineers for your organization might seem like a daunting task. [Read more…] about How to Find and Hire the Best Mechanical Engineers
