634AI and InOrbit collaborate to bring ‘more efficient’ AMR fleet management to US

November 11, 2021 by Mark Allinson Leave a Comment

634AI, the developers of Maestro, an AI-enabled control tower for streamlining the management of industrial indoor mobility, has agreed a collaboration with InOrbit, a cloud-based management platform for robot operations at scale.

The joint solution is designed to enable a deeper understanding of the flows on industrial and warehouse floors, to support the easy integration of AMRs on work floors and optimize their activity.

Maestro is an AI powered centralized Control Tower that enables effective and harmonized indoor operations, from tracking of raw material movements and real time safety alerts for man driven vehicles, to navigation and fleet management of AMRs. Microtechnology exhibition EPHJ successfully holds 19th edition

October 25, 2021 by David Edwards Leave a Comment

Switzerland’s largest international trade show dedicated to high-precision technologies, EPHJ – which showcases microtechnology innovations in sectors such as watchmaking and medicine – has successfully held its 19th edition.

The organisers say this year’s event has shown “positive results”.

They add that, in a delicate event context in a period of health crisis caused by the coronavirus pandemic, the satisfaction and attendance indicators at the end of the EPHJ trade show are “encouraging”. [Read more…] about Microtechnology exhibition EPHJ successfully holds 19th edition

Device Fingerprinting Benefits for Business in 2021

February 16, 2021 by Polly Leave a Comment

Device fingerprinting is a relatively new “cookie-less” activity capture method that tracks your device OS, screen dimensions, fonts, clock, browser version, and other info for marketing purposes.

Unlike cookies, fingerprinting data isn’t stored on users’ devices, which means that it cannot be deleted that simply.

Device fingerprinting looks quite controversial for many users, but is there actually anything to be aware of or is it the next-gen user activity tracking method with lots of benefits for business? [Read more…] about Device Fingerprinting Benefits for Business in 2021

Groupe PSA restarts manufacturing at facilities in a ‘progressive’ way

May 22, 2020 by David Edwards Leave a Comment

Groupe PSA – which owns automotive brands such as Peugeot, Citroën, DS, Opel and Vauxhall – says it is restarting manufacturing at facilities in a “progressive and secured” way.

The company says it has reinforced health measures, shared with the social partners, and deployed before any restart of activity with voluntary employees.

It says it will start an audit campaign to guarantee their “perfect implementation in 100 percent of the group’s industrial, commercial, tertiary and research and development sites”. [Read more…] about Groupe PSA restarts manufacturing at facilities in a ‘progressive’ way

Helping robots and humans work hand in hand

October 22, 2019 by David Edwards

As the internet-connected world continues to transform the manufacturing and logistics industry, Technische Universität Dortmund is leading the way in research into human-robot interaction.

With the help of Vicon’s cutting-edge motion capture and VR solutions, the University is developing innovative ways to approach the coexistence of drones and robots with people in warehouse environments.

The manufacturing and logistics sector faces a major challenge: how best to serve the ever-growing e-commerce market – with increasingly small-scale shipments and shorter delivery deadlines – in a cost-effective and sustainable way. [Read more…] about Helping robots and humans work hand in hand
