Murata debuts
‘double reach’ shuttle for warehouse operations

Murata Machinery USA (Muratec USA), a specialist in high-speed, automated logistics and material handling, kicked off ProMat 2025 in Chicago with the North American debut of its Double Reach Shuttle, an innovative automated storage and retrieval system (ASRS) engineered for high-density storage and efficient product handling.

Designed to maximize storage capacity while minimizing aisle width, the Double Reach Shuttle enables businesses to optimize warehouse space without compromising accessibility or throughput.

The Double Reach Shuttle integrates a narrow shuttle vehicle with a double-reach transfer mechanism, allowing it to efficiently retrieve and transport loads stored at greater depths within a compact footprint. [Read more…] about Murata debuts

MasterMover to debut its new tugger at ProMat 2025

Material handling automation specialist MasterMover will be making another return to ProMat 2025 in Chicago from March 17th to 20th.

The electric tugger manufacturer will be showcasing a ProMat-exclusive live demonstration of its TOW300 tugger AGV in action, visitors won’t want to miss out on witnessing the new generation of material handling technology in action.

Indian startup Unbox Robotics launches sortation robots in the US

Unbox Robotics, an India-based robotics technology company for intralogistics, plans to expand its footprint in the international markets starting with the United States.

With proven success within the domestic 3PL industry, the company is looking to make its tech available to meet the current demand for innovative plug and play automation solutions in the US.

Thira Robotics launches new generation of autonomous mobile robots

Thira Robotics, a South Korean autonomous mobile robots (AMR) developer and a subsidiary of smart factory solutions leader THiRA UTech, has officially launched in the US market, providing AMR to navigate facility conditions previously not fit for automation.

Thira Robotics offers solutions to healthcare, manufacturing, and supply chain industries to overcome physical barriers to technology adoption. Their launch coincides with Promat 2023, held in Chicago starting March 20th.

Peter Kim, CEO of Thira Robotics, says: “Some plants with poor conditions struggle to integrate AMR successfully. Now, older manufacturers don’t need to remodel to integrate. Sevensense Robotics to showcase its Alphasense Autonomy Evaluation Kit at ProMAT

Swiss 3D visual autonomy provider Sevensense Robotics says it is planning to present its Alphasense Autonomy Evaluation Kit at ProMAT 2023.

The software would enable “off-the-shelf prototyping solutions” for manufacturers of autonomous mobile robots, says the company.

Sevensense says automation has the potential to “exponentially increase efficiency, profitability, and safety in the logistics and manufacturing sectors”. But so far, the lack of a robust, yet flexible navigation technology has limited the scope and scale of automation in material handling operations. Kivnon to introduce its new forklift pallet stacker at ProMAT

Kivnon will showcase the latest addition to its AGV portfolio, its Forklift Pallet Stacker, at this year’s ProMAT, running March 20-23 in Chicago.

Kivnon says its AGVs/AMRs are “heavy-duty vehicles that improve safety and process efficiency”.

Sick demonstrates ‘smart logistics’ system for warehouse automation

Sensors supplier Sick showcased a new “smart logistics” system at the recent ProMAT Show, one of the world’s largest material handling exhibitions.

Sick says its system demonstrates how to obtain greater efficiency throughout supply chain operations.

30 exhibitors partner with Universal Robots at Automate and ProMat

The characteristic light-blue jointed collaborative robot arms from Universal Robots (UR) will be spotted hard at work throughout Automate and ProMat 2019 in Chicago April 8 – 11.

More than 30 UR cobot exhibitors will demonstrate a total of 80+ collaborative robot applications: a testament to the wide range of tasks and solutions now automated by UR.

The cobots on display will handle vision-guided product inspection, pick parts off conveyors, ride on top of mobile robots while performing machine tending, perform live robotic sorting and induction into put walls and pouches, add 7th axis capabilities, hand giveaways to attendees, play golf on a putting green, and much more.

NextShift Robotics to show ‘no-following or waiting’ robots at ProMat

NextShift Robotics, a provider of autonomous mobile robot solutions for automated order fulfilment and warehouse materials management, will be demonstrating its No Following / No Waiting robotic workflow solution at ProMat 2019.

NextShift recently released a video highlighting some of the innovations they will be demonstrating at Promat 2019, to be held April 8-11, 2019 in Chicago, USA.

The company will demonstrate what it claims is a fundamentally different autonomous mobile robot workflow for material handling. The NextShift solution is based on robots that can load and unload containers autonomously.
