Skild AI acquires Zebra Technologies’ robotics automation business

April 20, 2026 by David Edwards

Skild AI has acquired Zebra Technologies’ robotics automation business, including its Symmetry Fulfillment orchestration platform.

Central to the company’s plans is its “Skild Brain” – described as “the industry’s first omnibodied AI software designed to operate without prior knowledge of a robot’s exact body form” – is claimed to be able to control any robot, across any task, in any warehouse environment.

With Zebra’s battle-tested Symmetry orchestration platform, it now has the infrastructure to deploy and orchestrate entire fleets of Skild Brain-powered robots at enterprise scale. [Read more…] about Skild AI acquires Zebra Technologies’ robotics automation business

Exotec rolls out Skyfleet program to scale Decathlon warehouse automation across Europe

March 24, 2026 by Sam Francis

Exotec, a designer and integrator of robotic solutions for warehouse logistics, has announced the deployment of a multi-site programme called Skyfleet for Decathlon.

The program spans seven logistics platforms across five European countries: France, the United Kingdom, Portugal, Italy, and Germany. Beyond enabling Decathlon to standardise and manage logistics flows at a European scale, the programme has also improved working conditions within warehouse teams.

This initiative marks a new milestone in positioning Exotec as an end-to-end integrator, orchestrating all warehouse flows and equipment – from inbound to outbound – within a unified architecture. Geekplus launches RoboShuttle V5 to enable fully autonomous warehouse picking

March 24, 2026 by Sam Francis

Geekplus, the world’s largest manufacturer of autonomous mobile robots, is launching the RoboShuttle V5, a major upgrade to its tote-to-person and embedded robot arm picking station solution.

Geekplus says the RoboShuttle V5 “sets a new industry standard” for fully autonomous picking and warehouse fulfillment. The system debuts at LogiMAT 2026 in Stuttgart, Germany (March 24-26).

Most tote-to-person systems on the market today automate storage and retrieval but still depend on human pickers at the workstation, creating a persistent bottleneck that limits 24/7 throughput. [Read more…] about Geekplus launches RoboShuttle V5 to enable fully autonomous warehouse picking

Arvato accelerates robotics implementation through strategic partnership with Unchained Robotics

March 10, 2026 by David Edwards

Third-party logistics service provider Arvato says it is taking the next step to bring automation and robotics into operational use faster and more effectively.

Through a strategic partnership with technology company Unchained Robotics, Arvato is accelerating the development and implementation of modular, vendor-independent robotics solutions for logistics and fulfillment processes. As part of the collaboration, Arvato has acquired a minority stake in the Paderborn-based German company.

Robotics is deliberately viewed not as an isolated technology, but as an integral part of holistic automation and scaling concepts. Over the coming years, Arvato plans to implement a three-digit number of robots across various logistics and fulfillment environments. DHL and Locus Robotics reach 1 billion warehouse picks milestone

March 9, 2026 by David Edwards

Warehouse robots deployed by DHL Supply Chain and Locus Robotics have completed their one billionth warehouse pick, marking a major milestone for large-scale robotics deployment in modern fulfillment operations.

The landmark pick was completed inside a DHL facility by a Locus autonomous mobile robot operating within the company’s global network of automated fulfillment centers.

While the individual item involved was relatively modest – a pink beanie – the milestone highlights the scale at which warehouse automation is now operating across global logistics networks. [Read more…] about DHL and Locus Robotics reach 1 billion warehouse picks milestone
