Automated driving developer TTTech Auto expands team

TTTech Auto says it has grown its developer team for global customer projects.

After the acquisition of software company Silicon Gears in 2019, TTTech Auto expanded further on the Iberian Peninsula. The Madrid office opened in mid-February and will reinforce development capacities for global customer projects.

Spain is the country with the fourth-highest number of computer developers in the European Union, according to the State of European Tech 2019 report. Almost 40 per cent of the 323,000 developers are located in Madrid. [Read more…] about Automated driving developer TTTech Auto expands team

Techman Robot opens new office in the Netherlands

Techman Robot, a global leader of the collaborative robot has opened its first office in Europe, dedicated to providing instant services, training courses, and also as an inventory hub.

The new office is located in the Netherlands, which allows Techman Robot to respond effectively to the growing needs of their partners and customers in Europe, and also supports more local businesses that are interested in implementing robotic solutions.

SEMI to hold industry symposium in Brussels

ASTI Mobile Robotics wins European Technology Award for automation

ASTI Mobile Robotics has won the “European Technology Award” in the category of “Automation”.

The European Awards are organised by the Professional and Business Excellence Institute and were presented in a ceremony at the Ritz Hotel in Paris recently.

The CEO of the company, Verónica Pascual, together with Jean-Michel Beghin, president of Keensight Capital, and Jean-Louis Menu, ASTI MR France country manager, collected the award which consolidates ASTI as a leader in mobile robotics and automation within the European market. Volkswagen and NXP in ‘world’s largest’ rollout of V2X technology

NXP Semiconductors, which claims to be the world’s largest provider of automotive semiconductors, has partnered with Volkswagen to roll out its RoadLINK V2X – vehicle to everything – communication system.

The solution is features in the new Volkswagen Golf, one of the best-selling models of car in the world.

Kuehne + Nagel breaks ground for new Luxembourg logistics hub

Kuehne + Nagel held the ground-breaking ceremony of a new contract logistics centre in Luxembourg.

The event also marked the 10-year contract extension between Kuehne + Nagel and sports equipment supplier On AG, a co-operation that started in 2010.

The new contract logistics centre, due to open in the second half of 2020, will serve On as its advanced European distribution centre for both off- and online channels and will play an important role in the rapid international expansion of the Swiss company specialized in performance running shoes. Groupe PSA tests vehicle-to-infrastructure tech in Spanish city

Groupe PSA is testing vehicle-to-infrastructure (V2X) technology for the first time in the Spanish city of Vigo.

The company has been partnering with the Automotive Technology Centre of Galicia on the testing, and the results are intended to help the development of automated vehicle functions.

ThyssenKrupp to invest over €70 million in European warehouses

ThyssenKrupp’s material handling division is to invest more than €70 million in its European warehousing and logistics network.

The company – which claims to be “the western world’s biggest materials distributor” – says automation and digitalization will “significantly boost productivity”.

ThyssenKrupp Materials Services, the distribution and service provider of the ThyssenKrupp Group, says the €70 million investment in the modernization and expansion will include a state-of-the-art logistics center and new warehouses in Germany, Poland and Hungary.
