Exotec installs 37 robots to process first orders at Auchan Luxembourg warehouse

Auchan has become the first retailer in Luxembourg to use Exotec’s Skypod system in its Dudelange warehouse.

To protect their leading position in Luxembourg, Auchan Retail Luxembourg has partnered with Exotec, an innovative developer and manufacturer of robotic systems for warehouse automation in 2023.

Car sharing promotes mobility turnaround in Luxembourg

MOQO app assures easy operation and good service

Luxembourg is also working intensively on the transport revolution. The Duchy received a lot of attention when it became the first country in the world to introduce free local transport at the end of February 2020.

Even before that, a nationwide car sharing system was established with FLEX Carsharing, which is to be further expanded. FLEX provider CFL Mobility wants to use MOQO’s Shared Mobility Platform in the future. The know-how of the Shared Mobility experts from Aachen is increasingly in demand in more and more countries.

Luxembourg is the country in the EU with the highest level of individual ownership. Reasons for this are the high level of prosperity, favourable company car practices and a very good road infrastructure. Kuehne + Nagel breaks ground for new Luxembourg logistics hub

Kuehne + Nagel held the ground-breaking ceremony of a new contract logistics centre in Luxembourg.

The event also marked the 10-year contract extension between Kuehne + Nagel and sports equipment supplier On AG, a co-operation that started in 2010.

The new contract logistics centre, due to open in the second half of 2020, will serve On as its advanced European distribution centre for both off- and online channels and will play an important role in the rapid international expansion of the Swiss company specialized in performance running shoes. The tiny country of Luxembourg is claimed to be “leading the way towards the fourth industrial revolution”.

Luxembourg may have one of the highest per capita GDPs in the world but it’s more a city than a country.

Competition to mine outer space could change mining industry on Earth

For the past eight years, Nasa has been running a competition to find the team that can develop the best robotic systems to mine the moon. 

This year’s winners were announced recently, and Nasa gave out prizes and commendations for about 10 teams.
