The Growing Importance of Media Asset Management in Modern Digital Workflows

June 25, 2026 by Sam Francis

The digital world has redefined how companies create, store, distribute, and manage content. In all industries it is evident that companies are using large sets of video, image, audio, graphical, document, and other digital assets to support marketing, communication, training, and customer interaction. As content libraries grow, so does the issue of efficient management.

To that issue, it is evident that many organizations turn to what are called “structured media management solutions,” which improve access, organization, and collaboration. Also, it is widely recognized that in effective asset management practices, teams are able to find the right content quickly, to reduce duplication, and to maintain consistency across many channels. Kawasaki launches Silicon Valley hub to accelerate deployment of physical AI

May 22, 2026 by Sam Francis

Kawasaki Heavy Industries has launched a new physical AI development center in Silicon Valley as part of a broader push to accelerate collaboration between Japanese and American companies in artificial intelligence, semiconductors, and robotics.

Called the Kawasaki Physical AI Center San Jose, the facility will focus on developing real-world applications for physical AI systems through partnerships with major technology companies including Nvidia, Analog Devices, Microsoft, and Fujitsu.

The company says the center will initially prioritize healthcare and elder care applications, areas increasingly affected by labor shortages and aging populations in many countries. [Read more…] about Kawasaki launches Silicon Valley hub to accelerate deployment of physical AI

‘Humanoid robots show clearer ROI, but commercial success depends on effective output’

May 19, 2026 by David Edwards

Humanoid robots are moving from prototype validation toward early commercial deployment, with automotive manufacturing and logistics expected to form the core demand base over the next decade.

According to IDTechEx, the humanoid robot market across automotive, logistics, and home-use applications is forecast to grow rapidly over the coming years, reaching approximately $25 billion by the early 2030s before moderating as the market matures toward 2036.

Annual shipments are projected to approach 1.8 million units by 2036, driven primarily by automotive manufacturing, with logistics following and home-use remaining a longer-term opportunity with limited penetration within the forecast period. Ai2 releases open robotics model designed for real-world AI automation

May 14, 2026 by David Edwards

The Allen Institute for AI (Ai2) has released MolmoAct 2, an open-source robotics foundation model designed to improve how robots perform real-world physical tasks, as researchers continue pushing beyond highly controlled laboratory demonstrations toward more adaptable automation systems.

The new model, announced this week by the Seattle-based AI research organization, is positioned as a major upgrade to its earlier MolmoAct system and reflects a broader industry effort to develop more general-purpose robotics AI capable of adapting to changing environments without extensive task-specific programming.

Ai2 describes MolmoAct 2 as an “open foundation for robots that work in the real world”, arguing that many current robotics systems remain too brittle and heavily tuned for narrow applications. [Read more…] about Ai2 releases open robotics model designed for real-world AI automation
