igus has unveiled what it says is “the first robot made of high-performance plastic”. At just 8 kg, ReBeL is the lightest in its class: a real lightweight robot.

The compact, space-saving design with an integrated control system in the base opens up completely new fields of application for service robotics.

In collaboration with people, the ReBeL takes on tasks in the event and gastronomy sector, for example as a reliable coffee enricher or as a machine loader in production.

The robot is available as a plug-and-play version with integrated control system and robot software or as an open source version. In addition, users can choose between four or six degrees of freedom and thus adapt the ReBeL to their individual application scenario. May Mobility, a developer of autonomous vehicle technology, has launched what it claims is “the first on-demand public transit service using autonomous vehicles in Arizona”.

The service has been launched in the retirement community of Sun City. The service will be powered by Via, a specialist in transit technology.

The goal of the deployment is to use autonomous vehicles to expand access to safe, reliable and equitable on-demand transportation to Sun City, a community designed for adults 55 and older. Dobot Robotics unveils new high-payload collaborative robot at Hannover Messe

Dobot Robotics officially released the CR20A high payload collaborative robot based a new generation technology architecture at the Hannover Messe industrial trade fair in Germany.

The robot boasts outstanding performance, a 20 kg payload capacity, a 1700 mm super wide working radius, and ±0.1 mm repeatability, making it suitable for heavy load handling, packaging, and palletizing, as well as large-sized workpiece machining and long-seam welding in complex scenarios.
