Vecna Robotics adds voice control to case picking automation with CaseFlow Voice

March 31, 2026 by Sam Francis

Vecna Robotics, a provider of flexible material handling automation, has announced CaseFlow Voice, which the company says is the only case picking automation solution with fully integrated voice technology.

CaseFlow Voice embeds Lucas Systems’ “Jennifer” voice capabilities directly into case picking workflows, enabling hands-free operations that improve worker productivity and accuracy while helping warehouses achieve up to 2x throughput improvements.

CaseFlow Voice addresses a critical challenge in operations like cold storage, where gloves, condensation, and limited dexterity make screens and scanners difficult to use. By supporting both voice and handheld interfaces, CaseFlow adapts to a wider range of warehouse conditions while maintaining ease of use and performance. From transport to handling: Neura demonstrates end-to-end mobile manipulation for intralogistics

March 26, 2026 by Sam Francis

Neura Mobile Robots has presented an application for mobile manipulation in intralogistics for the first time at LogiMAT. Under its ek Robotics brand, Neura demonstrated how mobile transport robotics and cognitive robotics can be combined into a seamless system, enabling a new level of automation.

At the heart of the application is the combination of the X Move 1200 automated guided vehicle platform from Neura Mobile Robots and the MAiRA M cognitive cobot from Neura Robotics. The integrated solution makes it possible not only to transport materials, but also to directly grasp, retrieve, and store or retrieve them.

For the first time, users can fully automate transport and handling processes without manual handovers. This reduces process times, lowers error rates, and significantly increases system availability. Exotec rolls out Skyfleet program to scale Decathlon warehouse automation across Europe

March 24, 2026 by Sam Francis

Exotec, a designer and integrator of robotic solutions for warehouse logistics, has announced the deployment of a multi-site programme called Skyfleet for Decathlon.

The program spans seven logistics platforms across five European countries: France, the United Kingdom, Portugal, Italy, and Germany. Beyond enabling Decathlon to standardise and manage logistics flows at a European scale, the programme has also improved working conditions within warehouse teams.

This initiative marks a new milestone in positioning Exotec as an end-to-end integrator, orchestrating all warehouse flows and equipment – from inbound to outbound – within a unified architecture. Geekplus launches RoboShuttle V5 to enable fully autonomous warehouse picking

March 24, 2026 by Sam Francis

Geekplus, the world’s largest manufacturer of autonomous mobile robots, is launching the RoboShuttle V5, a major upgrade to its tote-to-person and embedded robot arm picking station solution.

Geekplus says the RoboShuttle V5 “sets a new industry standard” for fully autonomous picking and warehouse fulfillment. The system debuts at LogiMAT 2026 in Stuttgart, Germany (March 24-26).

Most tote-to-person systems on the market today automate storage and retrieval but still depend on human pickers at the workstation, creating a persistent bottleneck that limits 24/7 throughput. [Read more…] about Geekplus launches RoboShuttle V5 to enable fully autonomous warehouse picking

Hexxabotics to unveil honeycomb-based AS/RS with shuttle-style AMRs at LogiMAT

March 23, 2026 by Sam Francis

Hexxabotics is preparing to unveil a new automated storage and retrieval system (AS/RS) at LogiMAT 2026, combining autonomous mobile robots with a high-density, hexagonal storage architecture. (See video below.)

The system, described by the company as a “next-gen” AS/RS, is built around a modular honeycomb structure designed to maximize cubic storage density while maintaining accessibility across the grid.

At the core of the system are mobile robots – referred to as “Hexxabots” – that operate within the structure, effectively combining the roles of shuttle and autonomous mobile robot. [Read more…] about Hexxabotics to unveil honeycomb-based AS/RS with shuttle-style AMRs at LogiMAT

BlueBotics bridges the gap between AGVs and AMRs with the launch of SmartPass

March 17, 2026 by Sam Francis

Autonomous navigation and fleet management leader BlueBotics has launched SmartPass, a new efficiency-driving innovation within its ANT software suite.

Available immediately for “ANT driven” AGVs and AMRs, SmartPass is a robust, safe, and highly configurable technology that meets the core efficiency goal of obstacle avoidance without the drawbacks of traditional AMRs. SmartPass suits all types of automated vehicles and industrial sites.

“No matter how clean a site, and how well trained its staff, the paths of mobile robots sometimes become blocked,” said BlueBotics’ CEO, Dr Nicola Tomatis. “AGVs typically manage this situation by sending an alarm to an operator, while AMRs take any route possible, without limitation. The first can lead to transport delays, the second to traffic deadlocks. SmartPass effectively bridges the gap between the two.” [Read more…] about BlueBotics bridges the gap between AGVs and AMRs with the launch of SmartPass

AMRs vs AGVs in Warehousing: What Still Separates Old Logic From New Automation

March 16, 2026 by Sam Francis

Warehouse automation often gets presented as a clean march toward the future. More robots, smarter systems, faster movement, better efficiency. That version sounds tidy, but real operations are rarely that tidy.

The deeper divide is not simply between manual work and automated work. It is between older warehouse logic built around fixed paths and controlled repetition, and newer automation built around flexibility, adaptation, and constant adjustment. That is where the difference between AGVs and AMRs still matters.

The contrast becomes easier to understand when looking at other technical environments where the surface label tells only part of the story. A resource such as a list of Argentina proxy sites may appear simple at first glance, but practical value depends on context, reliability, and how well the tool fits the actual task. Warehouse automation works in much the same way. [Read more…] about AMRs vs AGVs in Warehousing: What Still Separates Old Logic From New Automation
