Ency updates hybrid robot programming platform with multi-brand and 3D vision capabilities

April 24, 2026 by David Edwards

Ency Software has released a major update to its Ency Hyper platform, adding support for mixed-brand robot cells, SCARA robots, and integrated 3D vision.

The Cyprus-based company says the latest version strengthens its hybrid programming approach, which combines offline simulation with real-time interaction on physical robots.

The system allows users to prepare and verify programs digitally before refining them on the shop floor, aiming to reduce downtime and speed up deployment. [Read more…] about Ency updates hybrid robot programming platform with multi-brand and 3D vision capabilities

7 Best AI Story Generator With Image Creation Tools for Visual Storytelling

April 23, 2026 by David Edwards

AI doesn’t stop at the page anymore – it paints the scene, too. In 2026 you can draft a chapter and watch matching art appear in the same window.

Suites like DreamGen let you spin dialogue and drop illustrations without switching tabs, and analysts say that’s why storytellers are leaving “chat-only” bots for multimodal workspaces. One dashboard now keeps tone, pacing, and imagery in lockstep, trimming revision loops.

We tested 31 contenders, chose the top seven, and defined clear judging criteria – story quality, image fidelity, character consistency, workflow ease, content policy, and pricing – so you can pinpoint the right platform fast. How Web Gaming Platforms Use Automated Playtesting to Scale Quality Control

April 21, 2026 by David Edwards

65 employees. Over 1,500 curated games. 600-plus independent developers. 100 million users every single month. Those are not the operational numbers of a team running traditional QA.

They are the output of a browser gaming website that has automated it. Poki’s approach to playtesting makes these numbers possible, and the mechanics behind it are worth examining for anyone thinking about quality control at web gaming scale. How Small Businesses Are Using Social Proof to Compete With Big Brands

April 21, 2026 by David Edwards

Introduction

Big brands have massive advertising budgets, recognizable logos, and years of market presence. For small businesses, competing on those terms is nearly impossible.

But something has shifted in recent years. Customers are no longer making decisions based on brand size alone. They are making decisions based on what other people say.

Social proof has become the great equalizer. A small restaurant with 400 glowing reviews can outperform a corporate chain in local search. [Read more…] about How Small Businesses Are Using Social Proof to Compete With Big Brands

Create Eye-Catching Social Media Stories via OPPO Reno15 5G

April 16, 2026 by David Edwards

January brought cold winds and new mobile hardware to the Turkish market. The OPPO Reno15 5G launched in Türkiye as a dedicated device for visual storytelling.

It arrived simultaneously alongside the OPPO Reno15 Pro 5G and the OPPO Reno15 F 5G. Crowded social media timelines require bold content to grab attention.

The OPPO Reno15 5G addresses this specific demand by providing unique optical tools. Hardware components and software processing combine to produce striking digital stories. Creators can construct fresh narratives without carrying heavy professional gear. [Read more…] about Create Eye-Catching Social Media Stories via OPPO Reno15 5G

How Modern Pickup Trucks Are Evolving with Smarter Performance Technology

April 15, 2026 by David Edwards

Pickup trucks are not just known for big engines, how much they can tow, or their tough build anymore. Now, many companies in the auto world are making trucks better by adding smart features. They are also changing how trucks are made so they work better and can do more.

The move shows that what drivers want is changing. People now look for trucks that can do many things, feel good to drive, have the latest features, and act in a smart way on the road.

If you want to know how to buy a new toyota tacoma in san antonio, you will see that modern trucks now give you more than just strength. They are made to last, and they come with systems built in to help you handle the truck better, use less fuel, and make it work for many kinds of roads. How to Record Video Content That Translates Cleanly with AI

April 14, 2026 by Sam Francis

Most people don’t think about translation when they hit a record. They’re focused on how they look, whether the lighting is decent, maybe if the audio is “good enough.” Translation usually comes later – almost like an afterthought. But that’s where things quietly go wrong.

Because while tools today are powerful, an AI translation platform can take your voice and reshape it into multiple languages in minutes – they don’t fix confusion. They don’t rewrite unclear thinking. They don’t slow down rushed delivery. They just carry whatever you give them… across languages.

So if the original video feels messy or hard to follow, the translated version doesn’t magically improve. It just becomes harder to understand in a different way. That’s why recording matters more than people expect. [Read more…] about How to Record Video Content That Translates Cleanly with AI

How Precision Machining is Powering the Future of Innovation

April 14, 2026 by Sam Francis

If you’ve ever wondered what actually goes into building an aircraft engine part or a robotic joint that works perfectly every single time, the answer almost always comes back to precision machining.

It’s not the flashiest topic in manufacturing, but it’s quietly responsible for why so many modern technologies can exist at all. CNC machining has evolved dramatically over the past decade, and shops like XTJ CNC in Carmel, Indiana are a good example of where things stand today.

This piece covers what precision machining looks like now, how it connects to robotics and automation, and what’s coming next. [Read more…] about How Precision Machining is Powering the Future of Innovation

What makes robots feel alive? Human-robot interaction expert Sarah Sebo explains

April 10, 2026 by Sam Francis

As robots become more expressive and socially capable, the line between machines and living characters is starting to blur. From Disney’s lifelike Olaf robot (main image) to interactive droids inspired by Star Wars, recent developments highlight how far robotics has come in replicating human-like behavior and emotion.

But what actually makes a robot feel “alive” – and why do some machines feel natural while others fall into the so-called “uncanny valley”?

To explore these questions, Robotics & Automation News spoke with Sarah Sebo, assistant professor of computer science at the University of Chicago, whose research focuses on human-robot interaction and the social, cultural and technological impact of robots in everyday environments.
