How to Choose OT Threat Detection and Response Tools

November 20, 2025 by David Edwards

Operational technology (OT) systems are critical to modern industry. As these systems become more connected, cyberattacks present a significant risk, making strong OT threat detection and response tools essential.

Understand Your OT System

Start by mapping your industrial environment. Identify all connected assets, including sensors, HMIs, IoT devices and network segments. Document how these systems communicate, such as the protocols they use and their role in your overall operations. A complete picture helps you choose tools to monitor and protect your setup accurately. [Read more…] about How to Choose OT Threat Detection and Response Tools

QR-Driven Workflows: How Smart Codes Support Robotics, Maintenance and Digital Traceability

November 20, 2025 by David Edwards

In robotics and industrial automation, speed and precision matter but so does the ability to access the right information at exactly the right moment.

Whether it’s a maintenance engineer standing beside a robotic arm, a technician needing an updated calibration sheet, or an operator trying to verify a process instruction, delays in documentation cost time, money and uptime.

That’s why many factories and robotics manufacturers have started turning to dynamic QR systems. Instead of relying on paper binders, outdated USB files or buried intranet folders, teams now attach scannable access points directly onto machines, panels or components. SingularityNET launches ASI:Chain DevNet and Hyperon AGI framework to build open, decentralised AI systems

November 17, 2025 by David Edwards

At Web Summit Lisbon, the SingularityNET Foundation and its partners in the Artificial Superintelligence Alliance (ASI) has unveiled ASI:Chain DevNet and Hyperon AGI Framework Alpha 1 – two open technologies that enable anyone to start building connected, human-like AI.

Together, they form an early, decentralised tech stack where tools can interoperate, progress is transparent, and no single company holds the keys.

Dr Ben Goertzel, CEO of SingularityNET and the ASI Alliance, says: “The Hyperon AGI Framework is a place for developers and researchers to experiment and collaborate in building the next generation of intelligent systems, and specifically to build towards AGI and ASI, using a variety of approaches: deep neural nets but also logic systems, evolutionary learning and whatever else their imagination cooks up. Qt adds automated Nvidia CUDA safety-guideline checks to Axivion for regulated industries

November 17, 2025 by David Edwards

Qt Group has launched a tool that automatically checks if programs using Nvidia’s accelerated computing follow safety rules for Nvidia CUDA coding.

CUDA (Compute Unified Device Architecture) is a parallel computing platform and programming model developed by Nvidia that allows developers to use Nvidia GPUs for general-purpose processing, not just graphics.

Launched in Axivion 7.11, the feature allows developers in safety-critical industries to more quickly build reliable, compliant applications that feature advanced graphics and AI for use cases like self-driving cars, medical scanners, and robots. Micropolis partners with Nvidia to strengthen robotics platform and support global expansion

November 14, 2025 by David Edwards

Micropolis Holding, owner of Micropolis Robotics, has joined Nvidia’s Inception Program in a move the company says will accelerate the development, testing, and deployment of its autonomous ground robots as it expands across the Middle East and North Africa.

The partnership brings Nvidia’s GPUs and Orin edge computing modules into the core of Micropolis’ unmanned ground vehicles (UGVs), enabling key onboard functions such as perception, navigation, and decision-making to run locally rather than through cloud systems.

According to Micropolis, real-time processing on the Orin platform provides faster responses and improved reliability in challenging settings including industrial sites, border regions, and dense urban areas. Anthropic announces $50 billion investment in US AI infrastructure

November 14, 2025 by David Edwards

Anthropic, known for its Claude chatbot, has unveiled plans for a $50 billion investment in American computing infrastructure, partnering with Fluidstack to build a series of advanced data centres in Texas and New York, with additional sites expected to follow.

The facilities are being custom-designed to maximise efficiency for Anthropic’s AI workloads and to support continued frontier-level research and development.

According to the company, the programme will create approximately 800 permanent jobs and 2,400 construction jobs, with facilities coming online throughout 2026. [Read more…] about Anthropic announces $50 billion investment in US AI infrastructure

The Nordics: A global case study in sustainable data centre growth

November 14, 2025 by David Edwards

How Northern Europe’s long-term approach to energy, planning and balance became the industry’s quiet success story

As power-constrained markets in Europe grapple with permitting pauses and grid restrictions, the Nordics – Denmark, Finland, Sweden, Norway and Iceland – have quietly demonstrated what sustainable growth looks like in practice.

The lesson from the region is straightforward but profound. By aligning infrastructure planning with renewable energy capacity and public cooperation, the Nordics have created a foundation for data centre development that is both commercially and environmentally durable.

“The Nordic markets prove that sustainability and scalability can coexist when policy, power and planning move together,” says Charlie Enright, senior analyst at DC Byte. “Their approach shows that growth and responsibility can be complementary rather than conflicting forces.” [Read more…] about The Nordics: A global case study in sustainable data centre growth

Q-CTRL and RIKEN boost hybrid quantum-classical computing with Fire Opal integration

November 12, 2025 by David Edwards

Q‑CTRL, a specialist in quantum infrastructure software, and RIKEN, a national research institute in Japan, have announced the integration of Q-CTRL’s performance management software Fire Opal with RIKEN’s IBM Quantum System Two.

The system is deployed within the RIKEN Center for Computational Science, Japan’s Premier High-Performance Computing (JHPC) center, and co-located with Japan’s flagship supercomputer Fugaku.

The integration is part of a project commissioned by the New Energy and Industrial Technology Development Organization (NEDO), an organization under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI). Reducing Development Time in Robotics With AI Code Assistants

November 6, 2025 by Sam Francis

Robotics does not care about patience. Motors fail, sensors drift, and deadlines creep forward like slow-moving predators.

Every hour wasted on hunting down an elusive syntax issue or rewriting boilerplate code steals time from testing, tuning, and pushing the machine to act in the real world.

Developers know this cycle in ai code generation: build, debug, rebuild, all while watching the calendar shrink like a drying sponge. It becomes painfully clear that the problem isn’t the hardware; it’s the time burned in the invisible trenches of coding.
