Stuff MFG launches US silicone molding factory to ‘bring manufacturing back to the US’

February 2, 2026 by Sam Francis

Stuff Manufacturing is now officially operational, with production now under way on US-made consumer products at its new silicone-molding facility in Lake Elsinore, California.

Founded by Shark Tank entrepreneur Hans Dose after tariffs and global shipping delays threatened his own product business, Stuff MFG was built to give brands of all sizes a faster, more cost-effective domestic alternative to overseas manufacturing.

“Stuff was born out of necessity,” said Hans Dose, founder and CEO of Stuff MFG. “My company, Tenikle, was hit hard by the 25 percent tariffs on silicone goods from China. [Read more…] about Stuff MFG launches US silicone molding factory to ‘bring manufacturing back to the US’

Fort Robotics launches real-time wireless safety device for complex industrial environments

February 2, 2026 by Sam Francis

Fort Robotics, a leader in safe control for robots and mobile machines, has launched its Wireless E-Stop Pro. The safety-certified wearable device is designed to prevent accidents and maximize uptime across modern machine worksites worldwide.

As industries adopt more mobile and autonomous machines across their operations, legacy safety solutions such as fixed emergency stop buttons are proving to be less effective.

The Wireless E-Stop Pro puts fail-safe control directly in the operator’s hand by allowing users to send a certified stop command to a machine from up to 200 meters away, ensuring that safety moves at the speed of the modern jobsite. State of Louisiana partners with Persona AI on humanoid robotics pilot at steel fabrication plant

February 2, 2026 by Sam Francis

The State of Louisiana has signed a memorandum of understanding with Persona AI to launch a humanoid robotics pilot program inside an active heavy-industry facility, marking what officials describe as a rare instance of a US state formally supporting humanoid robot development in a live industrial setting.

The pilot will be conducted at SSE Steel Fabrication’s large-scale steel fabrication facility in St Bernard Parish and will focus on collecting real-world data on human movement and task execution in a working manufacturing environment.

According to the announcement, the initiative is intended to support the development of humanoid robots capable of operating in environments “originally built for humans rather than redesigned for traditional automation”, including the use of existing tools, navigation across uneven terrain, and adaptation to changing shop-floor conditions. Microsoft Research unveils Rho-alpha robotics model combining vision, language, and touch

February 1, 2026 by Sam Francis

Microsoft Research has announced Rho-alpha, a new robotics model designed to help robots understand natural language instructions and carry out complex physical tasks in less structured environments.

The model, derived from Microsoft’s Phi series of vision-language models, is being made available through the company’s Research Early Access Program. According to Microsoft, Rho-alpha is intended to advance a new generation of robotics systems capable of perceiving, reasoning, and acting in dynamic real-world settings.

For decades, robots have performed best in tightly controlled environments such as factories and warehouses, where tasks are predictable and carefully scripted. Recent advances in agentic AI, however, are enabling new “vision-language-action” models that allow physical systems to operate with greater autonomy.
