Cognibotics selected for €6.5 million in EU accelerator funding

Cognibotics, a Swedish deep-tech robotics company, has been selected for €6.5 million in blended finance from the European Innovation Council Accelerator under the Horizon Europe programme of the European Union. The funding includes a €2.5 million grant and €4 million in equity financing.

The funding will support the next stage of development and industrialisation of HKM1800, Cognibotics’ robot platform for logistics and manufacturing.

The breakthrough combines a new hybrid kinematic design with advanced motion control, making it possible to deliver delta-class speed with a 10 times larger workspace, while using around one-third less energy than traditional robots. Heidenhain opens new office on US West Coast

Industrial robotic components manufacturer Heidenhain has opened a new office on the West Coast of the US to provide “specialized motion systems” with ETEL, a company which specialises in motion control solutions.

As the Silicon Valley in California and the West Coast continue to be the hub of the semiconductor manufacturing in the US, Heidenhain has expanded its motion systems support by establishing an ETEL facility in Fremont, CA.
