How JLCMC is Redefining Industrial Automation Solutions for Modern Factories

July 8, 2026 by Sam Francis

The manufacturing industry is changing rapidly. Factors are facing pressure to generate more, waste less, and adapt rapidly, while maintaining costs under control. The heart of this shift is industrial automation, plus the suppliers who fuel it in the back room.

Among the names slowly emerging in this area is JLCMC, an online store that provides factories with a streamlined solution for accessing the components required to construct, upgrade, and maintain automated systems, all without the usual procurement hassle. Europe’s most important industrial lubrication conference celebrates its 10th anniversary in Bilbao

June 5, 2026 by Sam Francis

Europe’s most important conference on industrial lubricants will celebrate its 10th anniversary at the Euskalduna Convention Centre in Bilbao.

On Wednesday and Thursday of this week, 200 professionals from Europe, Asia and America will attend this new edition of LUBMAT, a leading international biennial event specialising in lubricants, tribology and production equipment monitoring.

For two consecutive days, companies, manufacturers, technology centres and researchers will share the sector’s most recent scientific and technological innovations to address challenges such as sustainability, digitisation and industrial efficiency. The forum is co-organised by the Tekniker technology centre, the Jost Institute for Tribotechnology of the United Kingdom, Bureau Veritas and ATTEN2.

Currently rated as one of Europe’s main meeting points for the lubrication industry and R&D, LUBMAT 2026 features an extensive scientific and technical programme focused on areas such as advanced lubricants, friction and wear reduction, condition-based maintenance, online equipment monitoring, smart sensors, AI applied to industrial maintenance and the development of solutions that are safer and more sustainable. ScioSense launches new ultrasonic flow converter for high-precision, ultra-low-power smart metering

May 19, 2026 by David Edwards

ScioSense, a developer and manufacturer of semiconductor-based environmental and flow sensors, has launched the UFC23 – the 4th generation ultrasonic flow converter for measurement in water, heat and gas meters.

How can meter manufacturers improve measurement accuracy, extend battery life, and retain control of their preferred system architecture?

In modern applications, flow calculation is increasingly handled by a central host microcontroller – requiring a converter that can deliver accurate measurement at very low flow rates and long battery life, two demands that are often difficult to achieve together. Why Factories Trust Robotics and Vision Tools for Better Food Quality Control

December 5, 2025 by David Edwards

Facilities now use smart tools and software instead of relying only on people to catch mistakes. These systems watch products while they move through factories and look for anything that seems different from the expected condition. They can notice foreign pieces, broken parts, or issues with wrapping before goods leave the building.

Firms also depend on these to avoid problems that could damage their name. When faults are found early, fewer items also need to be pulled back from stores. The information collected further helps teams understand where mistakes happen. Over time, routines become smoother and the quality of goods reaching shelves improves. Technical insight: Safe robotics – collaboration without incident

February 7, 2019 by David Edwards

sick safe robotics

In this article, SICK, a supplier of industrial sensors and sensor systems, provides detailed insight into the subject of safety while working with collaborative robots.

The Safe Robotics Area Protection safety system from SICK provides process-based protection for collaborative robot applications.

It consists of a Flexi Soft safety controller and a safety laser scanner – either the space-saving S300 Mini Remote for shorter scanning ranges or the microScan3 Core for larger monitoring fields.

Safe Robotics Area Protection satisfies the criteria of Performance Level PL d in accordance with EN ISO 13849-1.  [Read more…] about Technical insight: Safe robotics – collaboration without incident
