Eclipse Automation has unveiled Eclipse RealitySync, a new immersive collaboration platform designed to help manufacturers evaluate, de-risk and scale factory automation projects before production systems are built.
Launched at Automate 2026, the platform enables manufacturers to explore virtual production environments using Apple Vision Pro technology, allowing engineering, operations and leadership teams to review factory layouts, workflows and automation systems in an interactive digital environment.
According to Eclipse Automation, the increasing complexity of modern manufacturing has made traditional planning methods such as drawings and static layouts less effective for evaluating automation investments.
Using Eclipse RealitySync, manufacturers can virtually walk production lines, assess workflows in context and collaborate with colleagues and Eclipse Automation specialists before physical systems are deployed.
“The way manufacturers evaluate automation hasn’t kept pace with the real-world complexity of modern production,” said Steve Mai, CEO of Eclipse Automation. “Teams are still making major investment decisions using drawings and static layouts. We believe the future of factory automation is more immersive, collaborative, and informed.”
Eclipse Automation says the platform combines project data, people and digital representations of physical systems in a shared immersive environment. The company says the technology is intended to help manufacturers identify project risks earlier, demonstrate the value of automation investments before implementation and support more flexible production planning.
By enabling engineering, operations, finance and management teams to collaborate before deployment, Eclipse Automation says organizations can make decisions more quickly, identify potential issues earlier and improve confidence in automation investment decisions.
The company says the immersive experience reflects its expertise across industries including life sciences, transportation, energy, electronics, and consumer and industrial products, where it develops advanced automation systems for high-volume manufacturing.
