Kollmorgen launches layout analysis tool to improve mobile robot performance

Kollmorgen has introduced a new software tool designed to help companies plan and optimize the movement of automated vehicles and mobile robots inside factories and warehouses.

Called the NDC Layout Assistant, the tool is aimed at improving how routes are designed for automated guided vehicles and autonomous mobile robots. (NDC stands for Navigation and Driving Control.)

Honeywell to sell warehouse automation business Intelligrated and Transnorm as portfolio overhaul continues

Honeywell has agreed to sell its Warehouse and Workflow Solutions (WWS) business – which operates under the Intelligrated and Transnorm brands – to American Industrial Partners in an all-cash transaction, as part of a wider restructuring of its automation portfolio. 

The financial terms of the sale were not disclosed.

The deal, expected to close in the second half of 2026, follows closely on the company’s recent agreement to divest its Productivity Solutions and Services (PSS) division to Brady Corporation for $1.4 billion.

Humble Robotics emerges from stealth to bring autonomous electric haulers to real-world freight

Humble Robotics has emerged from stealth with what it describes as a “revolutionary new vehicle”: a fully autonomous, cabless, electric hauler designed for cost-efficient freight transportation.

The company also revealed it has raised $24 million in seed funding, led by Eclipse with additional participation by Energy Impact Partners and others.

Skild AI acquires Zebra Technologies’ robotics automation business

Skild AI has acquired Zebra Technologies’ robotics automation business, including its Symmetry Fulfillment orchestration platform.

Central to the company’s plans is its “Skild Brain” – described as “the industry’s first omnibodied AI software designed to operate without prior knowledge of a robot’s exact body form” – is claimed to be able to control any robot, across any task, in any warehouse environment.

Lyreco automates French logistics hub with Exotec Skypod robots in €25 million upgrade

Lyreco, a global company providing workplace products and services, has announced the completion of a modernisation programme at its logistics centre in Villaines-la-Juhel (Mayenne, northwestern France).

The Villaines-la-Juhel site is one of the group’s most strategic logistics hubs and is responsible for 60 percent of the 50,000 parcels shipped daily by Lyreco in France.

As part of the modernisation of the site, which began in 2021, Lyreco has built a new 3,000 m² facility and integrated an advanced robotic solution developed by Exotec, a French pioneer in warehouse automation. Exol launches US robotic fulfillment network with ‘fulfillment-as-a-service’ model

Exol (formerly GreenBox Logistics) has launched its first US “physical AI” fulfillment facilities, introducing what the company describes as a new logistics model designed to expand access to large-scale warehouse automation.

The company says it plans to build a nationwide network of six automated sites totaling around six million square feet, aimed at supporting retail, wholesale and consumer goods companies. The first facility in Atlanta is now operational, while additional locations are planned in California, Texas, New Jersey and Illinois over the next year.

The concept behind Exol’s offering – described as “robotic fulfillment-as-a-service” – is to provide companies with access to automated warehouse infrastructure without requiring them to invest in their own systems.
