Misumi launches Misumi Americas as part of $1 billion global manufacturing investment

June 5, 2026 by Sam Francis

Japanese industrial components supplier Misumi Group has launched Misumi Americas and announced a $1 billion (¥150 billion) global investment program aimed at expanding its digital manufacturing and supply chain capabilities.

The initiative combines Misumi’s industrial components business with the AI-powered manufacturing platform acquired through Fictiv, positioning the company as a broader manufacturing and supply chain partner rather than solely a parts supplier.

The expansion includes significant investment in the United States and marks the appointment of Dave Evans as the first American CEO of Misumi Americas. [Read more…] about Misumi launches Misumi Americas as part of $1 billion global manufacturing investment

Flex and Teradyne Robotics expand partnership to scale intelligent automation across global manufacturing

April 24, 2026 by David Edwards

Flex – one of the world’s largest contract manufacturers – and Teradyne Robotics are expanding their collaboration to accelerate intelligent automation across global manufacturing.

Under the expanded relationship, Flex plays a dual role by deploying Teradyne Robotics solutions within its own production facilities while manufacturing key robotics components that enable scalable automation deployments for Teradyne Robotics customers worldwide.

Teradyne Robotics brands Universal Robots and Mobile Industrial Robots play a central role in the partnership. Flex manufactures key components for UR while deploying its collaborative industrial robots (cobots) and MiR autonomous mobile robots in Flex production environments. Vention raises $110 million to accelerate physical AI across global manufacturing

February 2, 2026 by Sam Francis

Vention, the provider of an AI-powered software and hardware platform for automation and robotics, has raised $110 million in financing, with participation from Investissement Québec, Desjardins Capital, certain funds managed by Fidelity Investments Canada ULC, NVentures (Nvidia’s venture capital arm) and other financial institutions.

The new capital will accelerate Vention’s mission to deliver Zero-Shot Automation, a new paradigm for manufacturing automation that deploys seamlessly, without integration, and operates correctly on the first attempt.

A portion of the investment will also fuel Vention’s expansion across EMEA, strengthening its presence and operations to solidify its position as the standard for automation in the European market. [Read more…] about Vention raises $110 million to accelerate physical AI across global manufacturing

Unlock Faster Delivery: The Role of Expedited Shipping in Robotics

November 12, 2025 by David Edwards

Robotics is one of the world’s fastest-growing industries. Based on recent reports, this sector is expected to surge by an estimated CAGR of nearly 20 percent over the next few years.

It’s also branching out in several directions. Though the highest demand for automated machinery comes from the manufacturing industry right now, it’s also spreading into healthcare, logistics, and even humanoid robots.

In addition to the unprecedented growth, robotics companies are struggling to keep up with the constantly evolving technology in their field. [Read more…] about Unlock Faster Delivery: The Role of Expedited Shipping in Robotics
