Swisslog installs robot-based warehouse for Axiom Telecom

Warehouse automation specialist Swisslog has completed a major project for Axiom Telecom for the design and implementation of a new Dubai-based automated warehouse facility with AutoStore.

Axiom is said to be the Middle East’s leading telecom distributor for handsets and accessories.

Infineon and Synopsys partner to develop AI chips for automotive applications

Artificial intelligence and neural networks are becoming a key factor in developing safer, smart and eco-friendly cars.

In order to support AI-driven solutions with its future automotive microcontrollers, Infineon Technologies has started a collaboration with Synopsys.

Next generation Aurix microcontrollers from Infineon will integrate a new high-performance AI accelerator called Parallel Processing Unit (PPU) that will employ Synopsys’ DesignWare ARC EV Processor IP. CeMAT has established itself as Russia’s leading intralogistics trade fair, according to organiser Deutsche Messe.

CeMAT Russia is on a course for continued growth. Featuring more than 150 exhibitors, this year’s edition will be staged in two halls at the Crocus Expo International Exhibition Center in Moscow, with the first-time inclusion of the open-air site.

Wipro partners with university for advanced research and innovation in autonomous systems, robotics and 5G

Wipro, widely known as an IT company, has formed a strategic partnership with the Indian Institute of Science (IISc), India’s premier public establishment for research and higher education in science and engineering, to conduct advanced applied research in autonomous systems, robotics and 5G space.

The two organizations have jointly set up the Wipro IISc Research and Innovation Network (WIRIN), a hybrid industry-academia collaboration unit, which will drive idea discovery, research and innovation in technology and product design.

A group of senior professors and research staff from IISc and engineers, developers, architects and researchers from the autonomous systems, robotics and 5G domains at Wipro will constitute the team at WIRIN. Electrify America and Stable partner to offer robotic fast-charging for vehicle fleets

Electrify America has entered an agreement with San Francisco-based electric vehicle fleet charging company Stable Auto to introduce robotic charging solutions for self-driving vehicles in a pilot demonstration site in San Francisco.

Electrify America is a subsidiary of Volkswagen, and Stable is a startup. Both companies develop infrastructure solutions needed to deploy self-driving and electric vehicle fleets.

Electrify America and Stable say they recognize the emergence of both electric and autonomous vehicle fleets, and are jointly working to address the absence of dedicated charging facilities equipped for such vehicles with this demonstration. Hanwha Robotics and Wipro team up on Indian cobot market

Hanwha Precision Machinery’s Robot Business Division has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Wipro Infrastructure Engineering (WIN) to establish a local sales and operations office in India.

The partnership combines the core competencies between the two companies: Hanwha’s cobot manufacturing and development capabilities and WIN’s Automation Solutions business and broad sales network in India.

Through this partnership, Hanwha Robotics will be able to sell its factory automation cobots to WIN’s customer base through its sales network.
